Any death in MyZ will eventually lead to ghostbourne. In ghostbourne, players become translucent and anything they say becomes gibberish. As a ghost, these players cannot be damaged, but they can still deal damage.

Ghosts can choose either to wreak havoc on their killer or find a friend to revive them. Revival is a simple process in which a reviver right-clicks a ghost. After a short wait (ensuring neither party moves), the ghost is reborn. However, they are only granted half a heart and low hunger. If this same player dies again within five minutes of being revived, they will not have the opportunity of spawning as a ghost and instead, their journey will end.
