Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

@bigscary
Item frames can be destroyed by untrusted players in claims. Can you please fix this?

Posted Feb 5, 2013I just installed this plugin to help with deforestation.
dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/autoreplant/
But i noticed in the config there is this line.
RegrowGriefedTrees: true
A setting for regrowing "griefed" trees.
Assuming that means non-owned, does that mean i have a duplicate program?
I like removing dupes :D

Posted Feb 5, 2013Yes they can leave, but until they can leave, the person who attacks the claim, can demolish good part of the house :) If it is made from wood or glass :) And he cannot be killed, so running is costly :D And killing is not possible so lot of houses are partly demolished :)
Hello, I have a problem. In my server new players are protected from pvp, but older players are not. So when a new player types /siege OLDplayer, newbie is protected. They cannot attack each other, and then they wait until someone dies, off course OLDplayer wants to play, but newbie has time, couse he needs all the diamond armors which OLDplayer has, and he waits until OLDplayer logs off ir dies :) And takes everything :) Is there a permission node to disable siege?

To explode claimed land, use /claimexplosions.
@deleted_9935739
Oh, sorry about that. :\ There's no fix for it. If players are allowed to build, then they can also use ender pearls because /trust implies /containertrust and also /accesstrust.
@Darkhand81
Yep.
@FordRacer2007
You can choose which admin claims allow pvp by using /transferclaim to turn them into private land claims, which do allow pvp. If you're concerned about putting your IGN on those land claims, then use another IGN which you've previously banned.
@Micius
@ha11oga11o
Sorry, I won't do it. I'd have to change the database schema, which is a very risky change for a feature that isn't necessary to stop griefers. Besides, if players could create land claims and then enable PvP there, you'd have a bunch of griefers build impenetrable fortresses and shoot passerby with infinity bows.
@user_955758
I put in a config option for you in the last version. :) Be sure you disable the automatic restoration of unclaimed land and also the automatic restoration of expired land claims. They're separate settings. Beware - you might have to do a lot of manual cleanup in some areas, because without the auto restore, griefers will be free to build something ugly, then move their land claim and repeat. In this case, a block logger with good rollback might be a worthwhile investment. You also have the option of disallowing land claim reductions and abandons, but players generally hate that.

Bigscary already mentioned that per-claim pvp toggles can't be done, it's too much of a performance hit.

Posted Feb 5, 2013Just a note for people running down the same rabbit hole I was.
If you are attempting to use ModifyWorld permissions with PEX to allow interaction with blocks (in my case doors, buttons, pressureplates) and when you enable interaction with ModifyWorld perms, but players still get a "You are not permitted to interact with..." message, it is not GP.
My thought was GP was the only plugin I was using that protected stuff, but I overlooked Essentials AntiBuild. AFAICT Essentials AntiBuild is unnecessary if you are using ModifyWorld, but it could very well be installed with the Essentials meta-package and forgotten, like it was in my case.
I feel a little dumb, but if my obtuseness can save someone else a few hours of hair pulling I am glad to help.
As a side note, PEX debug mode was no help at all in tracking down what plugin was blocking access.

We set the sea level so high that the grass area floats in the sky so we can easily remove it. But I really like the option that it doesn't happen at all. Not under ground, not in the sky or any other place. Unless you have a way of restoring costum made maps ofcourse. So trees and ground will be restored how it was before the claim was made. If that is not possible, a option to turn all kinds of nature restore off would be very welcome :-) Thanks in advance.

Posted Feb 5, 2013Hello,
since you add PVP protect to plugin (finally, many thnx :), were doing complete reconstruction of designated zones abandoning WorldGuard.
Now were missing ability to ENABLE PVP per users claim. Is that possible and how to do it?
So thing is im player; i have claim want to be finally left alone while playing - i have PVP off
Mine neighbor is nasty 10yr old kid with rage issues. He WANT PVP in HIS claim only; can he type something to actually enable PVP only in his claim? So i can go there from time to time to release his rage valve?
Many thnx!

Ah, yes, you're right. When you do add that option to allow PvP in admin claims while protection in member claims is enabled, would be neat if we could choose which admin claims can allow pvp. I'd like to keep my spawn pvp free while allow pvp in the pvp designated arena.

Will ProtectPlayersInLandClaims/AdministrativeClaims: true still prevent PvP in admin claims on Siegemode servers? Even though it's siege I'd still like to be able to prevent PvP in my starter/tutorial areas.
