This video covers how to create a basic gate and use it.

Creating a basic gate

A gate is created in 3 parts.

The Ring

The ring must be built within the search area of the sign (See below). The default for this is 20 horizontal blocks and 10 vertical blocks in all directions.

The ring must be built in the shape shown below using obsidian (Or whatever block the server has set for gates)

The Chest

The Chest (or DHD to stargate fans) is used for configuring the gate options and inputting the address to dial. The chest must be built within the search area of the sign (See below). The default for this is 20 horizontal blocks and 10 vertical blocks in all directions.

To setup a basic gate, put the address of the gate in the top row of the chest as shown below.

The Sign

The sign is the last part to be created. For a basic gate you only need to set the first 2 lines. The first line must be [Gate] and the second line must be the name of the gate.

Once the sign is placed, the ring and chest should be found and joined to form a gate.
