Features
- Virtual mode (disables redstone, optional time notifications, configurable time until walls drop)
- Automatic update notification (since v1.3)
- Join a queue for the next game, teleporting you to the waiting area
- Leave the queue, teleporting you back to where you were before
- Separate inventories
- Optionally join team 1–4 (will be auto sorted into a team otherwise)
- Command to start the game, activate the redstone, and teleport players to their starting positions
- Block rule-breaking (such as breaking the walls, or doing anything before the game starts)
- All dead players will respawn at their previous locations
- 1 team can win the game
- The winner will receive a configurable prize (default: 1 diamond) and be teleported back to their previous location (Supports Vault for economy)
- The world will be automatically reset to its normal state when someone wins the game or an admin uses the command '/thewalls restoreworld'
- Automatically attempt to start games 10 minutes after the server starts and every 15 minutes

Please post these on GitHub or, if that's not possible, in the comments below. Please provide (at minimum) the following information:
- What the most likely cause of the issue was (such as what you were doing at the time)
- Any errors displayed in the console (Please use pastie.org for these!)
- The version numbers of the plugin and of Craftbukkit (Don't say 'latest'!)
- Any additional information you can provide, such as potentially conflicting plugins

Posted Nov 20, 2012If i remove the redstone and try to start the walls, the walls will not fall i will only get sent to the respawn point, then if i leave the redstone it works fine. Please reply ASAP

The way I'd do that would be this:
At the moment there's no way to have command signs for teams, but you could probably use a command-sign plugin to link a sign to the command "/thewalls team #".
Note that you don't actually need to remove the redstone because, by default, TheWalls2 is completely virtual. It won't use the redstone at all.

Glad to hear that you got it working. I suppose I should clarify that "thewalls2" should not be the main world, because it can't be unloaded.

Ok, now I get it working. I've changed in server.properties the level-name to world instead of thewalls2 and now is working.
I think you can clarify the config a little to worry about what config should be in server.properties and what in plugins/TheWalls2/config.yml

Posted Nov 16, 2012I'm having the same issue on regenerating the world. Even from console :
tw restoreworld
14:10:39 [INFO] Restoring world... 14:10:39 [INFO] [TheWalls2] World is being unloaded... 14:10:42 [INFO] [TheWalls2] The world failed to unload!
Y have removed all the plugins just in case I have some incompatibility : $ ls plugins/ TheWalls2 TheWalls2.jar
Craftbukkit 1.4.4-R0.1-SNAPSHOT. Ty for all :)

Whenever I actually have time to release an update (probably within the next few days). Currently, this doesn't even need to be updated at all. It may still be building on 1.3.2, but it should work fine in a range of builds around that, including the upcoming 1.4.4 build.

I anticipated last weekend, but that didn't happen, so hopefully it'll be this weekend. Just know that the more I delay posting the update, the harder I'll try to actually complete it, so it should be relatively soon.

Not all plugins need to be updated when new releases come out. In fact, very few do. There's no point putting out a new build just because 1.4 came out, because nothing's broken (although a new build is coming soon anyway).
That will be in the next release, I suppose, although it will be via the config file, not a command.

well this plugin needs an update for 1.4.2
and i would really like it if you could make the spawns for the teams configurable. by configurable i mean you can set them by a command.
for example: /thewalls setspawn team4.
that would 1 of the spawns for team 4.

It's not even really a map, it's just a template. It's not the traditional style of The Walls, and I probably won't be adding support for it in this public version any time soon, especially considering that I already implemented this in a private version for a friend which I will not be releasing on BukkitDev (although it is on GitHub).
