How do I use it ?
Don't want to watch the awesome video ? Fine, here are the basic commands.
/mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style Nether like this
/mv create skylands nether -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style End like this
/mv create skylands the_end -g SkylandsPlus
Other world management plugins should have similar commands, I use Multiverse on my server which is why I only provide the instructions for that. The documentation for which ever plugin you use should tell you how to do it. You can also add a world by editing the bukkit.yml file, instructions on how to do that can be found on the Bukkit wiki.
Config
prevent-sand-falling: true restrict-mob-spawning: true
prevent-sand-falling - When set to true no sand will fall in skylands worlds.
restrict-mob-spawning - When set to true the number of mobs in a single chunk will be limited to a sane amount in skylands worlds.
Contributing
Contributions to the project are very much welcome, if you have a feature that you want implemented and know a nice way to do it then consider forking the repo and submitting a pull request. These will be accepted as long as the following simple guidelines are followed.
- Do not edit the structure of the pom.xml file, feel free to add a dependency if you need it but the formatting and structure should not be changed.
- If you are exposing a new API method, add a JavaDoc comment to it, but don't over-comment internal code.
- Follow the existing code style, don't antagonise over every space though !
All dependencies that are used are now available from a public Maven repo, so you don't have to worry about building several other projects just to add a simple change any more.

hi I got the generator to generate blocks above 128 but I have no idea how to fix the issue above.
I simply changed the array size.
hope this is helpful

Posted Mar 5, 2012@wide_load when you try to generate a block above 128, do you get an error or it just doesn't work?

It lags to the point where it's not usable on my pretty good server. Also it's not possible for a generator to set blacks above 128 for some reason.

Posted Mar 5, 2012Having a normal world <128 and then skyland >128 would be awesome. If it lags, its just when its generating...Solution - torches. Would be fun to try to take over a large shadow area when its acting like a mobspawner.

Posted Mar 5, 2012@wide_load Yeah good news!
But if 256 is possible there were 2 cool ideas:
1. - Isles like now, but in different hights, lower islands, middle and high.
2. - Higher isles, some with more hills, some with deeper underground for mining.
Coolest thing: the mix between both.
to 1.
Some small superposed islands , so we could build awsome waterfalls from island to island ;)

mineshafs, not really since there is not really enough area of stone to put them in without it looking odd (mineshaft sticking out of the side of an island for example. Dungeons and caves are already in the next version.
I'm also experimenting with a kind of stronghold, it's actually a special island and it basically goes along with the per island biomes thing I have been trying out.

Posted Mar 5, 2012Also, will abandoned mineshafts and dungeons be possible? Or have I just not found any yet. ;P
I can't wait for the possible biomes and jungles! Great job with this plugin.

It might be a limitation they put in place to preserve compatibility with older plugins I guess.

Posted Mar 4, 2012@wide_load I was playing around with ssp chunkprovider earlier and I did manage to generate blocks above 128, hopefully this is just a bukkit issue and will be fixed soon.

Rather irritatingly it does not look like the generator can add blocks above the 128 limit.
