I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

Move the ship:
In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
| Name | ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
| Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
| Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

Hi Mose, it would seem that in 3.3 release, the acacia and dark oak logs do not move on the ships anymore, even though 'wood_log' is set to true in the materials config.

Minecraft version 1.7.6 is said to come out some time after 21st. based on the changes to minecraft alone it looks like there will be a server update as well meaning there will need to be a bukkit update.
i want 3.3 to be a massive change to the ships plugin so 3.3 will not be released until after 1.7.6 comes out to bukkit. that's not to say the betas and the public pre-release will be delayed.
3.3 beta 4 news
3.3 beta 4 should be done by the end of the week, however it maybe delayed due to unexpected errors. and what it looks like, i will not be able to complete the faction support in this update (hopefully next) however i have been able to mix the 2 faction and non faction into one plugin so enjoy not needing to choose.
Faction support news
so far the faction support has hit a dead end on improvements. my idea was that it would check the position of every block then check the position of where the block would end up. if one of the blocks was in a faction area then it would cancel the move.
and thats still the plan, however i though java worked a little differently, i though it would grab all the results and check if one of them matched automatic (because why else would i send a load of variables at it). but no ... it only checks the last one that goes though .... i know one way around it but it would mean caping the size of the vessels to a very small amount of blocks .... or a very big size for this plugin.
im still working on it

im having a little trouble with the better faction support, however i have fixed the subs (they can poke out but not much), and EOT signs can be disabled

beta 4 should include the option to disable EOT, fix for the submarine becoming buggy when goes above water level (it should not go above water level ... and thats the fix), and a better faction support .....
these are all 'should' be things, this means it may backfire and i will not have them in the end result

the new subs algorithm works.
its probably frown upon with the algorithm that we used, but hay .... it works ... that's all I care about.
subs will be in the next beta update along with the terrible faction support.
i will also say the faction support does not detect weather or not you will hit a faction ... only when you are in a faction it detects, so expect to get a lot of stuck vessels
back to subs
the algorithm that we used is a bit glitchy ..... it may try to flood your sub.

The subs algerthums have not been tested yet and if it does not work, then I would need to find another algerthum to work with.

Posted Mar 10, 2014After creating the factions support onto the current beta release, i found some errors with the new vessel including the submarine.
yep submarines .... i am working with one of my friends to create submarines, the algorithms used means its highly unlikely the subs can move out the water ... as in poke the top out.
