Hello everybody,
This is Tobias aka Phoenix, the developer of this project. I am sad to inform you that RegionForSale, just like the Bukkit project, is pretty much dead nowadays. I do not like the fact that Minecraft is owned by Microsoft and, even though I respect the company, I cannot see how the spirit of Minecraft fits in there at all. Shame on you for selling, Notch! I do not care about the money involved. But this game, no matter how much profit it generates, belongs into the hands of loving, independent developers (Just like Bukkit – love you guys). My opinion. To be fair: My interest shifted in general as well. So overall, I am not willing to work on this project for free anymore.
Q: What about security updates / bugfixes?
A: I will do my best to still fix those and upload a new version for you. I do not want to let you down.
Q: Will you continue if I donate xx dollar?
A: Probably not. Please try to estimate the time I spend and apply a horrific minimal wage – I am sure you still do not want to pay that. Yes, it’s quite some time.
I still want to thank you very much for the few donations I received up to this point. Developing was fun and I was so very euphoric when I received my first donation. I still remember quite well. Not to forget about the many supportive comments and “thank you”s I received despite the money.
Sincerely,
Phoenix_IV

Updating
RegionForSale provides an automatic update checker to let you get informed as soon as a new version is available. If you do not want to use this feature you can set check_for_updates to false in the general.yml config file.
Todo
- Quick-set options on signs
- Give users, who rented a region, the possibility to buy it (without unrenting + possible rebuilding). The other way round would be retarded - Tell me if you don't think so.
- Auto-updater for minor updates (?)

Please notice that this is "RegionForSale", "RegionMarket" is only the tag used on the signs. Are you sure you are at the right place? RFS works with Bukkit for 1.6.2 . At least with the dev-builds I tried.
@ThunderWaffeMC
It is planned for the future that there can be parent-region "majors", who can administrate regions inside a parent-region.

Posted Jul 20, 2013I would love to see a permission node so people can create regions inside their region. For example I want players to own hotels so then they can build the hotel on their region and then create rooms to rent.
Thanks!

The same as before: I am willing to help you if you learn how to use punctuation and uppercase letters. However, you might just want to read the plugin / settings guide.

No need to - it's already in. Set the limit in the world's config file and only the regions in this world will be counted.
Yes, of course there is: region-rebuilding.auto-rebuild: false, which is the default setting by the way.

Posted Jul 11, 2013Could you please add a feature so players can be limited on the amount of regions they can own per world?
Also, is their a way to make it so regions dont autorenew after the rent is up?

Members are allowed to build in the region by default. This behavior can be changed by setting flags.

The problem about the Bukkit help-command is that is shows absolutely all available commands, but normal users are usually not allowed to use even half of them. It's easier for them if there is a separate listing (e.g. on signs or via an alternative help command). At least that's what I would do.

Posted Jul 10, 2013Alrighty then. Thanks for the help.
What do you mean exactly by me making a list? The plan was to have them all in one place, under the help list but since that's out of the question, the only other option I have is to paste the commands ingame on signs all over the place I guess. It's not the cleanest solution but, eh ..unless you can recommend a better idea

Language file:
You cannot add an extra line, but you could replace the info 'footer' (the purple line at the end).
/help command:
There seems to be a problem with Bukkit's
/helpcommand. As you know the//rgcommand is used with two slashes at the beginning, but the Bukkit help ignores one of the slashes and so the command conflicts with WorldGuard's/rgcommand (But only in the help). https://bukkit.atlassian.net/browse/BUKKIT-4389I can only suggest an alternative at the moment: Create a small list of user-commands yourself. I bet the users would appreciate a small overview of all commands they can use on the server.
Restricted permissions:
No, not now, but I would like to split up some permissions in the future anyway, so this could be a part of it.

Posted Jul 9, 2013I've got a question about the en.yml config file. What I'd like to do is add a line of text to that info screen a player receives when clicking on a region market sign. It should basically be just a line bellow all the region info saying something like "type /help regionforsale for a region market command list".
Speaking of help, what permission do I have to give for regular players to actually see the command list. Right now a player can type in /help regionforsale and all they get is "Commands from RegionForSale:" ...that's it. The only line lol
Also, is there a permission node I could add to my moderator group so they can only evict players from owned regions but not add or manipulate owned regions in any other way?
