Movecraft
NOW MOVED TO SPIGOTMC, CHECK HERE FOR NEWER VERSIONS:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/movecraft.31321/

A Brief Description
Movecraft is a plugin that has been designed to give purpose to those extremely large (and awesome) oceans as well as to simply give the option to Sail, Drive, or Pilot amazing Ships, Creations, or Zeppelins. It allows the player and/or players to craft Vessels out of blocks that can be piloted and thus moved. Hence the name MoveCraft.
Credit
Movecraft was first created by Yogoda for hMod.
Movecraft 3 is a complete recode. It's only similarity to the Movecraft of Yogada is it's name.

Permissions
Movecraft uses the following permissions:
movecraft.<craft name>.pilot
movecraft.<craft name>.move
movecraft.<craft name>.rotate
movecraft.<craft name>.repair
For example, if you have a craft named "Airship", you would need movecraft.Airship.pilot, movecraft.Airship.move, and movecraft.Airship.rotate in order to completely use it.
There is also:
movecraft.<craft name>.create - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.cruisesign - only required if RequireCreatePerm is set to true in config.yml
movecraft.commands - grants access to /pilot, /cruise, /release, /rotateleft, /rotateright, /craftreport
You can also control these granularly with:
movecraft.commands.release
movecraft.commands.pilot
movecraft.commands.rotateleft
movecraft.commands.rotateright
movecraft.commands.cruise
movecraft.commands.craftreport
Dependencies
Movecraft does not require any other plugin to function, however certain features require additional plugins:
WorldEdit (>6.0) - For repair system
Vault - For payment system
In addition, the following plugins are supported for compatibility:
Cannons - Cannons will move with a piloted craft
WorldGuard - Region protection
Most common permission plugins - Assign permissions to various craft features

Posted Aug 25, 2012Is there a way to change it so that vehicles can move above 128? it says the aircraft won't go any further when I try.

Posted Aug 25, 2012You need to add automatic movement, because on long trips in a vehicle it is kind of annoying to have to sit there and right-click the whole time.

Will that bring pack the Vehicle sign support, and allow changing the "control" item? Dumb as it sounds using signs instead of perms made this plugin.. just work for n00bs and veterans alike. I miss the old capital ship battles on our server :( :(

Posted Aug 23, 2012I am pleased to announce that I have got to a stage where I will release an Alpha. I am cleaning up some code and will then release the alpha.
Features of this alpha:
A lot of bug fixes
Speed enhancements
Reduce server side CPU load under stress
- All daily news posts between now and the last alpha.
As usual, this is a demonstration, and not for practical use. Bug reports yes, support no, reccomended for use on anything not a special test server = no.

Posted Aug 23, 2012For anyone having trouble with permissions and their players - you must go into the MoveCraft .xml file (/plugins/movecraft.xml) and change <requireOP> to FALSE. I hope this helps! I found the answer on page 28 or so, and I figured I'd save people some time. ;)

Posted Aug 23, 2012I am going to speak now, here me chirp!
I vote that we let AJCStriker finish the base plugin first, and stop requesting new features for now. Why? because we all want it to be released and we all will have time later to either develop our own Modules (such as saved ships, cannons, or whatever else you can think of) or request new core functions.
That be my 2 cents.

Posted Aug 22, 2012I have to agree with phaed420. I like how in the Ships plugin when you create a ship, it is always your ship and it does not stop being your ship when you get off it. It would be really nice to have code added that sort of defines your ship and saves it in a database so that it does not have to re-calculate the ship once you want to fly it again. That would prevent ships from carrying away large chunks of material.

Set a forbidden block, or make your spawn out of non structure blocks. You could also use the API to disable movement in an area or world.

Posted Aug 21, 2012I'm thinking of putting this in to my server, because I love zeppelin and this seems a lot like it. However I run a large server and am worried that some troll is going to command my spawn area of something like that. Thus is there anyway to disable this in certain worlds, or even any blocks that can't be flown?

Posted Aug 21, 2012Haven't used MoveCraft in a while, we used to have Syco's version back in the day but had to remove it cause people would park their ships next to other objects and when they got back on the ship they would take away a piece of wherever they were at. I gather this was a problem due to the fact that the ship got re-scanned every time one got in rather than doing an initial scan, saving the locations on a db, and then keeping track of any blocks modified. So really your ship was never your ship, your ship was whatever the plugin *guessed* your ship was at the time you decided to drive it. This was a very big problem for us, and the reason why we decided to stop using it.
Has this problem been addressed in the re-write?

onCraftTranslationEnd(TranslationEndEvent e){
if(Array.asList(e.getOldBlockList()).contains(MovecraftLocation l){
MovecraftLocation newL;
Int newX = l + e.getTranslationVector()[0]
etc.......
newL = new MovecraftLocation(newX, newY, newZ);
}
Obviously that can be optimised etc, as blocklist is an array, so the creation of a list would slow it down. But that would let you check if your block was moved.
The code inside the if statement just shows how you could get the new location.

I don't think 8.6 has the enhancements from the alpha releases like:
And hopefully with the last few improvements found in the daily news.

Posted Aug 19, 2012Is there an api to tell when Movecraft moves a block? I'd like to listen on it so I can move the functionality my block provides when this happens.

as far as I can tell, 8.6, the current version, is compatible with all 1.2.5 versions...

Would you be able to release the latest 1.2.5R4.1 compatible build after the alpha when you release the 1.3.1 preview to the public? I'd greatly appreciate it with my Tekkit players since Tekkit takes forever to hop versions.
