PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.

Config
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/config/
(Is partially updated)
You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:
https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/bukkit/org/bukkit/Material.html
You may want to play with Spawn Points, you can find the info here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/spawn-points/
If you wish to develop your own plugin with my health API, check this page:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/health-api/
For Nightmare Mode, check here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/nightmare-mode/
Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Posted Apr 24, 2012Great mod. Love the difference it makes to gameplay but I can't seem to see how the sniffing out works? Zombies seem to act the same as normal - if they see you, they come at you, otherwise the just stand about..? Also they never seem to break anything. I've enabled and specified what blocks to break but what times are recommended? I wonder if it's because I've set it too high and it is a timer of consistent attacking and zombies don't attack for more than X seconds at a time?

Posted Apr 24, 2012Hey, guys.
I setup this plugin v7.1 in craftbukkit 1.2.5 R1.0.
There's someone have same error like me before, and author told him to enable spawn points.
So I modify the config file, change ''enable spawn points'' to ''true''.
Then I entered the game, type ''/ma''.
An error popup...
org.bukkit.command.CommandException: Unhandled exception executing command 'ma' in plugin Monster Apocalypse v<0.0.1>... (more)
Looks like same error.
Any idea?

Unfortunately I've not been able to figure out how using those. I change settings, and not everything seems to work, and then sometimes bukkit will error out telling me to check the config.
Also, is there an explenation for the constantly spawning and despawning of silverfish?

Decrease the maximum light level.
@sharf224
No, but some of it is explained in both the config guide as well as the version notes. I recommend the version notes if you're going in-depth, but basic use is mostly self-explanatory.

Posted Apr 23, 2012so I got a quick question I mainly use this plugin because of the ability to change mobs healths/dmg and making pig zombies always agressive. but I notice that mobs spawn on lighted areas how can i change the setting so no mobs spawn in light, I am also seen ALOT of mobs spawning I am using the default config, also do you know of any issues with crafbukkit ?

Default should be fine if you're not using mega-aggro. To increase/decrease adjust the mobs per tick. Standard is approximately equal to vanilla rates.
@Dhozerr
They will need to be standing still on the other side of a wall trying to reach a player, which doesn't happen much post-1.2. It should work better with pigzombies.
@sharpiescribble
Don't use the zombie config without editing it up, it's out-dated.
@blizzard158
I'm trying to limit the number of versions I release.
@donald1440
I will never support heroes. Enchantments are hard to do, but maybe in the future.

Posted Apr 21, 2012This plugin is overriding the "remove-mob" feature for fields used in PreciousStones.
Additionally, this plugin seemed to eat up every last bit of memory over time. I had to remove it -_-

I don't want to bug you but its been a like a week since that comment and if it has been fixed, why wait for more changes? couldn't you just quickly upload a fixed version?

Ah, intriguing idea for the white list.
I am to assume (I'll be testing myself, but nice for others curious to know), that the 'blacklist' effects ALL mobs? Aka, if you disabled 'grass' any mob that could spawn on grass (zombies, etc), could not.
Yet if we ENABLED grass, and turned the blacklist, to whitelist, it would allow mobs that can only spawn on Netherrack, etc, spawn on grass? (sorry if this confusing. Not easy to word :P).
I'll tweak the naturalistic bonus spawns as well to see how this works out. Any advice on a 'good' number to set it at, or just play around? As of course, you don't want 5000+ mobs crashing your world, but when you see less mobs then players almost, that's no good either. :)

You could use the block spawn list as a whitelist (only spawn on netherrack).
The cap doesn't need to be adjusted. If you're using naturalistic bonus spawns, increase the monster attempts per tick. If you're using bonus spawns, increase the count or decrease the period. If you're using normal vanilla spawns, you will need to set one of those up instead.

Posted Apr 19, 2012Ok! Two quick (well, no, not really quick ;P) questions.
1. Is it possible with this plugin, to allow it so mobs can spawn in non-natural worlds/blocks? Aka, Pigmen will ONLY spawn on netherrack, and in a 'normal' world you'll not have it. Is there a way to make Pigmen generate on normal ground too? I suppose bonus groups, but I've had little success in getting them to work accurately.
2. I CANNOT get the number of mobs to where I want. Atm, after a good 30 minutes of staying motionless with 3 players, we average about... 80-95 mobs per player tops. The 'Spawn cap' settings and such that we are told to tweak, I have set from 1, to over 100000000 with practically 0 difference. I've modified their spawn chances, tinkered with bonus spawns, etc, and nothing seems to touch this at all. And setting up 'spawn points' is simply not viable in a 256 tall, 2000x2000 world with no central focus. :P
I may be overlooking something, but I've really tried anything I can imagine for both matters and finding absolutely no solutions >.<
Edit: I haven't posted the config, as I'm looking for simple, 'general' information how to increase mob spawn rates, which will be useful for individuals other then myself too. :P

Area difficulty is not supported, I suggest setting up spawnpoints for more mobs.
