Welcome to the ultimate monster hell. I have brought together everything anyone everyone could ever want to do with monsters into one completely hellbent plugin. Use at your own risk.
Warning - Zombie digging is destructive, if you turn it on and configure it, please backup your worlds.
Plugin has been thoroughly tested as working properly, if you have trouble please report it so I can make it work for a wider range of setups!
PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.

You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:

Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Posted Jul 29, 2012i would like to use this plugin for a very specific purpose, IF that purpose is possible. Here is what i want to do
I want to make enemy camps where there are a bunch of a type of mob (like a zombie outpost) and 1 different mob (a single skeleton) (which is the BOSS) . I want ONLY these specific mobs to spawn in this camp (so custom virtual spawner with a time limit of say 3 hours). The boss of course is gonna be the hardest to kill since he will do extra damage and have much health, but will also drop the best rewards.
Is this possible? I dont want any mobs outside of the camp to change (ill have it so the mobs cant leave the camp)

Posted Jul 29, 2012I had a problem with mob spawning lagging the server with 100,000 zombies so I set the cap to like 2,000. This fixed the problem but now passive mobs despawn. Also, If someone AFK's and the 2,000 mobs spawn by them, noone else will get to see any mobs. Is there a way to split the passive vs hostile cap and/or set limits per chunk? And how is the cap determined, is it just for loaded chunks?

Posted Jul 29, 2012Ok, am i doing something wrong? I tried it strait out the box,nothing. Then i went in and messed with the config's, turning most to the worst (hard mob) settings possible, even making always night. The problem is, all the mobs act normal. Ran around for 20 mins, even (egg) spawned many mobs. But i get no errors and even server says that it was enabled. Checked /plugins it shows it there? Craftbukkit 1.2.5 ver R-4. Everything just seems like normal mobs with them, any hints? Thanks in advanced! : )

Posted Jul 29, 2012@NewMilenium I have no idea how explosion damage is calculated, but you can experiment with the radii. Monster Apocalypse is not compatible with many server mods. It is VERY likely this is causing some of your issues.

1. You need to enable "all other properties" for true damage to work. 2. You need to flag your worldguard regions as creeper-explosion deny. If this doesn't work the next version will have fixed it.

This is up to date now and explains most of the options. It's up to you to piece together where you want to go with it. It's like many RPG mods where the possibilities are limitless and the options are simple on their own, but if you don't know what you WANT to do you will end up lost and confused.

Posted Jul 28, 2012Will wolves be implemented in all the stats of the other mobs?
and for some reason when i spawn a wolf, the aggressivness shows, but they do not attack.
is this just a problem with my craftbukkit?
i am using 1.2.5 R4
and monster apocalypse 8.1

I don't know why, I don't know how, but now my monsters all have mega-aggro. So, the only problems left on my server are maybe not due to Monster Apocalypse, so I won't bother you with them. (spawners not spawning anything, redstone torches dropping mysteriously of blocks, players in iridium armor (IC²) are invincible with 1/2 heart left...)

Posted Jul 28, 2012i did have them disabled, the only things that exploded where passive mobs ie chickens cows ect. even with a 3 block radius the block drops where insane, ither way adding a way to disable drops would be a good thing so people can have higher explosion radius .

Posted Jul 28, 2012Hello. Whenever I try to give the mobs some true damage, they actually end up not being able to do any physical or projectile damage. They only thing that hurts players are explosions and fire they make :( also, skeleton's arrow explosions seem to destroy my worldGuarded stuff and still destroys the land when the explosion block damage is turned off. Am i doing something wrong? D:

So now, MonsterApocalypse 8.1e works.

Just disable the various explosion changes. I can say I haven't had this problem, you probably have a radius set too high.

Posted Jul 26, 2012hey i had this plugin on my server and had it world specific, i love the idea and the plugin is very very epic, my only problem is when the mobs explode they create masssssiiiiveeee entity drops even with my server having upto 64gigs of ram it still crashes to all hell, i tryed to worldguard flag tnt block damage and creeper block damage off, but it still ended up with massive drops and major crashes, is there any way u can add a line to disable drops for it or even maybe just explosion block damage to be toggleable, cuz i really want to use this plugin, i have ideas to make one massive nightmare world for my players to enjoy.

Posted Jul 25, 2012Weird issue, seems as if the ignore armor direct damage does not damage armor at first (good) but upon death, applies ALL of the damage done to the armor via direct damage (bad) and pretty much drains it to nothing. Is it possible to make it so the direct damage does not effect the armor? And if not, could you make it so the armor's damage updates in realtime when hit with direct damage?

Posted Jul 24, 2012Totally like the idea of the mod :-) already had some fun trying it out, but sth. really is making it kinda impossible to ever achive sth. I am currently using the standard config you offer for download here. But i want to get rid of explosive arrows or whatever is causing these huge explosions. ( i assume its the arrows, since they let entire trees explode if you are on top)
I tried several thing but it seems i am not really having success. How can i get rid of these annoying arrows/explosions? thx for the help :-)
