Warning - Zombie digging is destructive, if you turn it on and configure it, please backup your worlds.
Plugin has been thoroughly tested as working properly, if you have trouble please report it so I can make it work for a wider range of setups!
PLEASE USE CRAFTBUKKIT 1.11 (R1) for version 19.6. Only Spigot supports this build. No other builds will work with this version.

Config
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/config/
(Is partially updated)
You will need to reference craftbukkit enums for drops and block attacking to work, failure to use valid enums could potentially break your plugin. You can find them here:
https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/bukkit/org/bukkit/Material.html
You may want to play with Spawn Points, you can find the info here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/spawn-points/
If you wish to develop your own plugin with my health API, check this page:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/health-api/
For Nightmare Mode, check here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/monster-apocalypse/pages/nightmare-mode/
Need multiple configs?
- Note: This is outdated and may not work.
How to set up multiple installations, for different custom difficulties on multiple worlds:
- Copy the MA jar and rename it.
- Rename the plugin inside plugin.yml of the second copy (within the jar), and remove the commands section.
- Disable registering the /MA command in the second copy's config.
- Double check that you have no world names overlapping between the two configs, and that your bonus and naturalistic spawns are restricted to the right worlds.
You now have two separate installations.

Posted Jul 24, 2012To anyone that was getting the EntityType not instance of LivingEntity error with the MCPC bukkit builds: Its been confirmed as a bug in MCPC. Now we wait for a fix on their end so we can enjoy zombie mayhem.
Edit: From mushroomhostage:
"According to the Bukkit API documentation, spawnCreature is deprecated. Not saying this shouldn't be fixed in MCPC, but if the plugin changes to the non-deprecated spawn() method it will work (which explains why I wasn't seeing this problem in my plugin – it doesn't use the deprecated method)."

Posted Jul 23, 2012Works wonderfully with other plugins I have in place on my server. As a future feature it'd be cool if megaaggro and bonus spawns could be set to only take effect during the night.

1. Set spawn points enabled: false for the current version.
2. Make sure you set your world name right. It should not modify vanilla spawns from default settings.
3. They get angry and turn into gravel where they stand after X seconds elapses of not being able to reach a player above them or hit a block.
4. Under each section put replacement: zombie

Posted Jul 23, 2012I have multiple questions, but to make it easy I'll organize it for you! :)
1. It won't let me set up any spawn points it will say /ma (SpawnPointCommand) (Name) Args.. instead and this is kinda bugging me.
2. NO MONSTERS AT ALL... will spawn. :( This takes all the fun out of it and the only plugins I have are WorldEdit and Monster Apocolypse! So, I know there isn't any Plugin Confliction.
3. The Corpse Piling is confusing to me. Please Explain it to me.
4. How do I disable Creepers and Spiders?

From default, enable spawnpoints and create some. I think there is a bug in the spawnpoint flag in the current version, so they should work from default.
@Xarniia
Not yet.
@NewMilenium
This bug was fixed in the current development version, which will be going up soon.
@twisterlj
This is probably from the block spawn blacklist, which I am working on some bugfixing with.
@twisterlj
This is very likely a compatibility issue with another plugin, as I have been running a server with nightmare mode disabled for a long term period with no problems. It is also very plausible that your 'super rare' spawns are below or near float value granularity (the lowest possible values for floats), so it may be a good idea to INCREASE your rare spawns to something greater than or equal to 0.00001 chance (assuming you used bonus waves).
@Trainraider
You don't have anything enabled.

If you use the Essentials plugin, you can try the /killall command.

Posted Jul 21, 2012Hey I need help, the plugin doesn't seem to be affecting my server at all. I'm using the 1.2.5 R4 server. I have the plugin in the plugins folder. I have the config all set up. My server loads the plugin, and then everything is exactly as if the plugin wasn't there when I get on my server. I even watched a tutorial on YouTube, but I didn't learn anything I didn't already know.

Posted Jul 21, 2012Hi, love your plug in, but while configuring it for the first time, i made Iron Golems spawn a bit too freely. Now i'm stuck with many iron golems lagging my server. How can i get rid of them? /butcher -all did not work and it's too laggy to kill them manually.

Posted Jul 21, 2012I need help with Nightmare Mode. We are trying to disable it. But it seems like no matter what we try, we still get escalation. We have the multiplier set to 1.0 and the period set to default 1,200,000. Our super rare spawns will be super rare, but over time they become super common. We tried decreasing the period dramatically, thinking it would multiply by 1 then reset, and spawns went nuts! At a 1.0 multiplier (exponential set to false) there, in theory, should be no escalation, but there is.
How do we disable this?!

Posted Jul 20, 2012I just ran into an interesting glitch/side effect. We had an area set up with dispensers filled with zombie and pigzombie spawn eggs. We had this working fine, step on the pressure plate, monster appears. As soon as I started MA, the monster eggs shot out of the dispensers just vanish. No monsters at all. As soon as I disable Monster Apocalypse, the dispensers work just fine and we got monsters. Not sure what could be causing this, but it's definitely happening because of MA.

Posted Jul 20, 2012Hello,
I read all the comments to find out what was going on, and i only notice some people have the same problem... yet not solved. Here it is : at each spawn try, my McMyAdmin console gives me that error :
23:07:51 CONSOLE: [GRAVE] Could not pass event CreatureSpawnEvent to Monster Apocalypse
23:07:51 CONSOLE: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: EntityType not instance of LivingEntity
and of course no monster spawns at all. It stops as soon as no player is on the server, so, it's clearly when it tries to spawn a monster. I even changed the Allow this MA installation to register the spawnpoint command?: to false, as someone said.
This happens with at least MonsterApocalypse 8.1d and 8.1e. I'm going back to 8.0 , as it mainly works (but, only spiders benefit from the mega-aggro, no idea why. Anyway, I'll ask help about this only once 8.1e or any earlier version will work). I am using mcportcentral craftbukkit builds too (tried this update to 8.1e with latest build, and before, 8.1d with 3 different builds, error is always the same).

Posted Jul 19, 2012i don't suppose someone is willing to help me out with the settings on this? what i want is i think kind of simple, i want all spawns to be completly normal, i just want to set a few bonus spawns a couple of places, aka to have them ""attack"" the city at night, but i dont want groups of mobs spawning anywhere that im not telling them to. regular mob spawning is fine, i just don't want any large groups spawning anywhere that i have not specified!
