As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

You cannot change the default permissions without recoding that section of the plugin. If you only want certain people to join Minigames using signs, set minigame.sign.use to false in your permissions plugin for that group. Loadouts do not have permissions at the moment and specific group joining for certain Minigames can be activated per Minigame with "/mgm set <Minigame> usepermissions true". The permission to join that Minigame will then be "minigame.join.<MinigameName>" (all in lowercase).

No Minigames never had save last position. I was supposed to do that a while ago though but completely forgot about it. But yes, I can do that.

Players lose the colour above their head if they end up being too far away from each other (an issue I have to resolve). Make sure if its a team Minigame that everyone will be in close proximity.

Posted Feb 10, 2013I am trying to set permissions so certain groups can use certain signs and such. You set certain permissions to be default for everyone. How do you set them so only certain groups can use them. Such as minigames.signs.use. I want only members+ to be able to use them. Also can I make it so specific signs are only clickable by certain groups? Like minigames.signs.use.join.teamdm1 or such? And so with classes. Like minigames.signs.use.class.tank. Please help me!

i have a huge parkour and when logging out, disconnecting etc they have to start all over ..
Can that be achieved ?

Hmmm... well the minigames its self is in the same world that you spawn and end in.. but the name colours are on some players no on others and when i see them others cant... a little bit odd :P
But I will work around with it.

No it doesn't. Also, I think it only shows the colours to players which are in the minigame. It may not work if players are swapping between worlds. or going too far apart.

You must not have set the score type (kills or ctf). The changes won't show in the config till you either stop the server or re-enable the minigame (even if its already enabled).

Also the ability to allow teleports in minigames, perhaps with a max teleport range per minigame

Posted Feb 8, 2013@_Razz_ Sometimes it's client side, quite often it's server side. One of my jobs when I log in is to go and fix the spleef arena floor. I've tried replacing a diamond spade with an iron spade in case it was related to dig speed to no avail. I suspect it's the last block(s) broken before the game ends by players from observation above the arena when they play. Is anyone else getting this issue or is it just me? Thanks for the reply. I sent you a little something as a thanks for the great plugin ;)

Posted Feb 8, 2013Not sure if this is just me but i have Team Death Match set-up everything works... but the rounds NEVER end.
I have the rounds set at min=3 max=12
Also, how do I make it save changes to the config...? Im changing the max/min players, but when i check the config still the same as before... tried to force the save by saving the whole server state

As far as I know, the non restored blocks are actually restored, they are just air client side. If you right click an opposite face of a block they come back (if they are actually there).
Potions are iffy in Minigames atm, though I will add support for them eventually.

I just remembered, SP won't regen it till everyone quits. Since it doesn't have a record of a player interacting with it.

Minigames doesn't support the placing of TNT due to the fact it can't roll it back. And the fact that you're also using a third party plugin to roll back at the same time is NOT a good idea. You could end up crashing your server. As for not being able to place stone, it'd be whatever protection plugin you have, or if you didn't add stone to the whitelist.

Posted Feb 8, 2013I've had 2 problems so far, the main one with the new LMS spleef.
Sometimes when the game ends and the floor resets, not all of the floor resets, it misses one or two blocks. My best guess so far would be something like nocheat interfering with the game itself. Thoughts?
The other thing I've discovered I can't do: In a dm type minigame I thought it was a great idea to give them splash poison potions - I've found an issue with this. If when the game ends, the winner is close to death and is still affected with the splash poison .... they too can die ... resulting in them not getting their items back at the game end.
The splash poison has now been removed and replaced with an instant damage item.

I did in my SP game using this command but when I use /mgm quit, the dispenser is not restored. It does work in team DM games though.

From my understanding you have to manually add the dispensers to restore /mgm set mingamename restoreblock -l while looking that the block.

Posted Feb 7, 2013Hi Razz I have made a castles CTF game all is working good except I made an Engineers rank and gave them 1 tnt, red stone torch and some stone to repair. game mode - survival block place - true block brake - true block place/brake - white list mode cleared all I want players to be able to blow up the walls to get into the castles and repair damage to defend. Players can brake blocks but... can not place the tnt torch or any of the repair blocks. Do you have any Idea why the cant place the items We are using Precious Stones grief revert to fix damage after matches.
