As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

I will, in a way. 1.5 is soon and hopefully bukkit will add support for the new nametag colour changing (if it works in the way I hope it does). That means that the tagAPI will probably change along with it and support for it will be quite easy. Though if it isn't I'll implement a way for them to work in unison.

They should work per player. If a player quits or ends a SP Minigame, anything they change should be restored.

I want to make a puzzle in which the players get a bow and arrows from a dispenser but the dispenser doesn't restore nor does the restoreblock command work.

Posted Feb 7, 2013You should look into adding support for servers that run TagAPI. I use TagAPi and NameTags plugin to give players special colors above their heads. Now using minigames plugin when players join a team based mingame their name tags never change even if in another world with its own permissions negating nametags permissions.

i'll solve it somehow.
i noticed i actually had a spleef in a GriefPrevention claim as well .. doesnt work either. So at the moment the "feeling" is that with 1.4.0 something changed on how protected areas/regions/claims ..
But i'll make sure to test all combinations to find which works and not.

I liked the idea that you could still protect areas with worldguard, I have some open top Minigames that I don't want people building out of, and thats why its like that. Best thing to do is put a region around the floor area enabling players to break those blocks.

Hmm interesting, you may have some outdated plugins perhaps? Somethings messing with the teleport event by the looks of it.

Making a spleef game (LMS + blockbreak) renders the floor unbreakable in WG regions.

Posted Feb 6, 2013Another question. Can I have so if the player dies within the game, it just ends the game as if they ran the quit command and they're not rewarded any prize? This is a single player game. If yes, how can I do it? Thank you so much _Razz_

Thanks for that, you will make my server log and console very happy. :)
No idea about the vanishing yet, haven't gotten to setup team related games yet.
I try not to bombard them with features to quickly, so might give it a try next month.

Posted Feb 6, 2013Random question: Has anyone else suffered from player "vanishing" while playing team based Minigames. I was playing one tonight and I could not see anyone when I respawned. Just seeing if it was just my internet messing up or if its a Minigames problem.

Posted Feb 5, 2013_Razz_ I am going to post a ticket about the Minigames & Herochat conflict...its driving me crazy with console spam.
I had over 40 players in my new parkour map and console was chaotic. :(
Which plugin are you using for chat, might have to switch to it as long as Faction works fine with it and has channels.

If its a single player game and through console, I run the command /mgm end [player] will it count as if the player had completed the game or would it be as if the player quit the game?

The lobby countdown? Its display isn't configurable, though thats a good idea, long countdowns would get annoying. Will do!

Lag issue is fixed (was lighting updates). As for my server ram there is way more then enough, 6GB allocated to both my servers been running fine for over a year. There is no lag with TagAPI i was just asking if there is anyway to work with them to get something hooked. If TagAPI is used it will not allow your plugin to change tag colors, If i remove TagAPI and NameTags.jar your colors work just fine.
One other question. How do i set this config so that is doesnt count down every single second from 20? I would like to to state, 20, 10, 5 and then start the game countdown 5,4,3,2,1 go.
