As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

Minigames is a plugin in which users can create and play several types of Minigames on a server, without the risk of losing items or XP when they die. Players can also use checkpoints so when they die, they are reverted back to that position.
The Possible Minigame types are:
- Single Player - for jump puzzles, mazes etc.
- Last Man Standing - A multiplayer Free for All (FFA) PvP Minigame
- Race - A Multiplayer race Minigame
- Team Deathmatch - A deathmatch round against 2 teams, first to a defined score wins!
- Deathmatch - A free for all deathmatch round against any predefined amount of players, first to a defined score wins!
- Spleef - Its possible to create custom Spleef arenas, as well as your standard spleef arena.
- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

I use this plugin (Multiverse-Adventure) to reset worlds to there original state. Since players can do anything in that world it is important to reset it when all players leave. The worlds are not loading and unloading at the same time (they load and after the server is started they unload, reset and reload). I did a test and I get the same error when I defined a minigame for a world that does not exist (manually in config). Maby you could add a listener that enables/disables minigames on world load/unload?
I manage to make it work when I disabled world reset on server restart - but that causes It to not reset if the worlds if someone was in that world during restart. Any chance you could look into my problem?

Posted Feb 13, 2013Howdy. I was wondering if you can create a bypass for the Factions plugin. Like when my players team deathmatch and they get mixed up on their teams, they can't hurt the other team players when those are in the same faction. Maybe code a bypass for that or maybe there already is a fix for that and you can share it with me?

What Mode do you have it in for whitelist/blacklist? If Whitelist mode it'll only break the blocks you add, in blacklist, you can't break the blocks you add.

The server needs PVP enabled, there is no way to bypass that.

Wait, you load and unload worlds at the same time? That will be an issue. You'll probably have to have a world thats not unloaded for Minigames.

I had this problem developing the plugin, though I fixed it. I don't know how I fixed it, it just stopped happening. If you have any of those spam protection plugins it may be that. I think I had to change a few settings to get it to work. The only reason it didn't happen in 1.3.5 was because the blocks weren't actually broken then, they were just replaced with air.

Posted Feb 13, 2013I do have a worldguard region but I am the owner of the region as well as have OP on the server during my testing. I can break the blocks when not in the minigame but when I join the minigame they break then instantly come back.

Love your work. I have setup my server mainly around this plugin and I use pretty much every single minigame. But I am having an issue. I have setup a teamdm map and everything works, but noone is able to attack the other person. It's a minigame server, so global PvP is disabled in the server and the map itself is NOT region protected (nothing in the whole server is, in fact). How can I make it so it'll auto-enable pvp?

Posted Feb 13, 2013I have a problem with spleef in 1.4 version. It dont behawe like it did in 1.3.5...
Ive setup everything right, used lms type instead of spleef, allowed blockbreaking, gave players diamond showel and used snow block as floor. I created WG region where I allowed blockbreaking as well.
When i join (as admin with op) i can normally break blocks and so on. When normal player join he can break blocks as well, but to destroy block he needs to click. In other version (and when I have OP) i can just hold mouse button and blocks are being destroyed automaticly. But normal player needs to click like crazy to destroy few blocks. Any tip how to fix that? Thank.

You may have some protection in the area like WorldGuard, Minigames doesn't stop PVP.

Did you have protection on the area? (like WorldGuard...) That may be interfering in the block breaking.

Posted Feb 12, 2013Ok that makes sense. I setup the arena according to the tutorial page and just have 1 problem. When I test the arena blocks reappear as soon as I break them. I enabled blockbreak. I'm using a diamond shovel and snow as the block. Is there something I am missing?

Whats so hard to understand about it? The new regen system makes setting up spleef easier and more customisable. Its just that now theres no point for a seperate game type just for spleef when LMS can do the exact same thing. If you want to find out how to do it look on the tutorial page, I updated the text tutorial to show how spleef is made.
Basically all there is to it is creating an LMS exactly the same way you'd create spleef, then instead of the spleef specific commands you can do /mgm set <Minigame> blockbreak true to turn on block breaking. And if you need to, set it to whitelist mode to restrict some blocks (like glass).

Posted Feb 12, 2013I'm really confused about the removal/modification of Spleef. This was the main reason I used your plugin because I found it worked substantially better than all the rest. I don't understand why you are making it more difficult to setup? Can the floor still be regenerated after each game or no?

Posted Feb 11, 2013Great Plugin! but i cant get the players to tp to their spawn point... im trying to setup a ctf arena... I use the command /mgm set CTF1 start red 1 and all players are just tped back to the lobby...
any tips?

Posted Feb 11, 2013Great plugin! I have one problem, on my server i have many worlds (most adventure maps etc.) I tried survival games based on your plugin but all the positions ware set for the default world "world". I use Multiverse Core and Adventure for world managing.
