Keep Inventory
This plugin was designed for the server staff team or VIP players. Simply give the group the keepitems permission and they will keep their items and armor on death, optinal exp too.
This is perfectly if you dont want to use the gamerule "keepInventory" since this would affect everyone in the set world.

-keepitems.diamond.sword (per item perms) and -keepitems.obsidian (drop only obsidian)?
-nbt tag (if item have tag: soulbound than keep, if item have tag: nosoulbound than loss)
- (and permission keepitems.nosoulbound.override to keep unsoulbound items

Try it, it should be backwards compatible. At least i get no errors on compiling against 1.2.5 bukkit. (didnt test)
