Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Your question was answered in the second paragraph of the main page.
"The current release version, 7.7, will work with the 1.6.1 Bukkit builds, however it won't prevent many things such as the use of leashes, nametags, horses, etc. Existing functionality in 7.7 will still work."

I haven't tried the dev builds, but I believe they are supported. My server is still using GP's 7.7 stable build and we haven't had any compatibility issues with Minecraft 1.6.4.
So...you can use either one for your server, just make sure that you're looking at the right documentation pages when you're doing your configs.

Posted Oct 19, 2013I've come across a bit of a feature conflict with the plugin (7.7): /trapped does not work well at all with NoSurvivalBuildingOutsideClaims: true. In this case, /trapped does not get you out of a hole in the wild (not claimed by anyone). It does not teleport the player out when there is no claim to teleport out of. Instead, it says: You can build here, save yourself! But of course the player cannot actually build there when NoSurvivalBuildingOutsideClaims is true. So if you fall into a hole in the wild you're pretty much screwed, you have to use a /home or /spawn command which typically teleports you really far away (commands which I'd rather not enable - minecart travel only server). A griefer that made a trap and then abandoned the claim, is bad news. Only /home or /spawn can save you.
When /trapped is typed, apparently it checks if the player is in a claim or not. If that's a no, it just says: you can build here, save yourself.
I would suggest, when NoSurvivalBuildingOutsideClaims is true: tell the /trapped code that if the player is not in a claim (it does this check already), to pretend that there is a claim sized, say, 16x16 around the player. This should work well enough, and allow you to use the existing /trapped code.

Posted Oct 17, 2013I know that the dev builds aren't really supported....but I am kinda new to plugins and still learning. Can someone please tell me if the dev #179 will work for my server of 1.6.4? Or will the stable build of 7.7 for CB 1.5.1-R0.1 work for my server when its running 1.6.4 I am wanting to remove my worldguard as its the only outdated plugin that I am running and its causing many problems, and I want to use gp instead. But my server is running 1.6.4 so I need it to be compatible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Posted Oct 16, 2013I added the most recent development build to my server and let it generate new config files. But now players are not gaining claim blocks by time and all the claim blocks they have gained so far have been removed. So now everyone have negative amount of claimblocks because they still have their claims left. I have the correct settings in the config files (I think).
How do I solve this?

Disable Sign EavesDrop. There are a few EavesDrop options that you might want to fiddle with.
@ThisUsernameIsMine
You can't. Container Trust includes Access Trust
Unless you mean how to undo the trust command- in which case it would be /untrust.

@Maximvdw
I'm not sure which version/build of GriefPrevention you use but for the new build you have to go into your GriefPrevention\WorldConfigs\ folder and set Signs to False, under Eavesdrop ;)
