Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Oct 6, 2013Im having serious lag when typing anything into console. To the point of getting Can't Keep Up! errors. I decided to use /timings while typing into console to figure out what the problem might be and came up with this:
http://www.aikar.co/timings.php?url=0262247f0f7b4242e1afdef382b31e30
Keep in mind I dont know what this stuff means so if I'mm talking to the wrong people I apologize.

There is with the Version 179, Citizens and ShopKeepers don't work propertly. Don't open the comercial API, and you can't trade with the villagers or npcs. Please, can you, BC_Programming or Tux2 fix it?
Thxs.

so no way to lock them into their claims and keep animal breeding.. alright i shall continue to simply smite offenders then :P thanks. Hope to see this change at some point. Would be great for survival servers where you want them to mine only in specific areas.

Just set "CreativeRules" to false. The option will be removed probably because it makes no sense, instead the things it changes, such as preventing drops, will likely become options in their own right.
"CreativeRules" is more or less a holdover from before the world-specific config, at which time the main config listed the survival worlds and the creative worlds. If it was in the creative list certain things acted differently and because I was sort of focussed on just making it work for each world I moved the effect of being in that list to a World-specific option- thus, CreativeRules.
@kicker22004
claimexplosions is not on by default. It is a non-persistent flag on each claim. which as far as I recall is reset when the player that issued it logs off. The command will be available by default soon though.

I use this successfully with buycraft. Make sure its acb {name} 1500 (or whatever number you want)
BC is there a way to bypass the entity limitations and still use creative mode. I am not sure how or why these are linked. However i would like players to ONLY mine/build on thier claims but still have the ability to breed animals as well as be able to pickup/drop blocks if thrown. I am not 100% sure why these are even things :P

Posted Oct 4, 2013Is there anyway to make the claimexplosion not be on by default. I'm hosting a voltz server and it kills the idea entirely. I can stop them from using/claimexplosions but that doesn't help for new players. Thank you

My opinion is that this should default true... it's their claim, and I think people can do whatever they want in their claim. Maybe add it under the parent node griefprevention.basicclaimcommands?

/claimexplosions does need griefprevention.commands.claimexplosions like all the other commands, that could be the cause.

Posted Oct 2, 2013Had some players reporting problems with /claimexplosions, where they don't have permission. I haven't set any griefprevention-related permissions for the default group, and I haven't tested it in detail so I don't think this deserves a ticket. #179

"GriefPrevention.Claims.CreationRequiresPermission" doesn't exist. Permissions are now required for griefprevention.claims.toolcreate and griefprevention.claims.chestcreate, for creating claims with the shovel (or whatever tool is set as) and the beginning chest. These are true by default.
