Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Hey Tux, any plans to add a permission node that omits a player/group from the spam filter?
Would be good as the server won't be checking as many players messages to see if they're the same as the previous message or if the time between them is too much.

You can turn off intial chest claims by setting the radius of the chest claim to 0. Then players would need a gold shovel.
@Mre30
That is correct. Unless you need mob management in some regions.

Posted Mar 16, 2013I love this plugin, I actually think its one of the greatest plugins out there. But I have one thing thats making it unusable for me. I run a prison server. where there is cells for rent, I use simpleregionmarket. I have tried griefprevention real estate and it doesnt suite me. My problem is when people place a chest down it claims the area, which sounds great but my server is mainly pvp with rentable cells. Making it impossible to rent cells. I'm wondering if you can add a option to change the block that automatically claims area, (normally its a chest) if you make something normally is hard to get like a emerald block (or better yet make an option to change it to anything) then it would be perfect.

Actually, it's misnamed, it should be named addbonusclaimblocks as every time you do it you're adding claim blocks, not adjusting them to a new level.
@datdenkikniet
It's in the config.

I am wondering how this could be possible, is there any command to allow the console to give claims to players ? I am currently using Ontime plugin and I am thinking of automated weekly reward that give claims. Ontime can execute a command, if the player have log in a certain amount of time during the week. Can you give me an example how to set-up a basic reward system that can give claims?

You're exactly correct. Any currency used to buy claim blocks disappears. Any currency used to buy claim blocks is created. The easy thing to do is not allow the selling of claim blocks.

Bit premature to be asking "when is this ready for 1.5.0" since there isn't even a developmental build of CraftBukkit labeled for 1.5.0. Before plugin developers can test their plugin for 1.5.0, there needs to be something to test against...

Posted Mar 14, 2013I was wondering if there was a way to allow only one player access to a single plot I make for them and not allow them to use any of the other plots I make for others or myself? And I was wondering when this would be ready for 1.5?

Posted Mar 14, 2013@DragosSm: Part of the information is available using /claimslist. The coordinates will provide the depth of the protection. Have your player dig deep and place a block at a lower level. Protection is from that height up.

Posted Mar 14, 2013I'm a user/player on a server that runs this plugin. Given that, this is what I've learned that might work:
@AgentME: The /trapped command teleports the player to outside of the claimed area. For All to access, try /accesstrust public or /containertrust public.
@Intangir: Subdivide the claimed area using the /sc command and then, while standing in the subdivided area make the accesstrust command.

Posted Mar 13, 2013How does this work? Do players get access to a command that teleports them immediately out of the claim or something? I don't plan on having common /home or /spawn commands on my server.
Also, is it possible to give all players AccessTrust or ContainerTrust to your own claim? Such as by giving trust to "*" or "All" instead of a player name?

Posted Mar 13, 2013I think it would be useful to have an option to turn on and off the various spam blocking features in the config so we could customize them. For example, all caps are automatically reduced to lowercase. It would be nice if we can switch just this setting on and off.

Posted Mar 13, 2013@TSRDM,
Welcome to my boat. There seems to be nothing GP (GriefPrevention) can do about it. It seems until the IC2 dev team decide to make their mod more bukkit friendly (and/or accept standard practices/event handling? that other mod authors use), it seems TekkitCustomer or decompiling the mod, deleting/editing the code for certain items, recompile and play is the only methods available to us.
