Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

Posted Mar 12, 2013I have a question regarding the interaction between buy/sell claim blocks and accumulating claim blocks, which is not addressed clearly in the documentation:
Say you're using some item-based server economy plugin, and your economy has a finite amount of currency set to control the value and inflation rate. When a player sells claim blocks, where does the money he is paid with come from, is it simply "created"? Also, does the "MaxAccruedBlocks" option in the config count the total of a player's saved AND claimed blocks, or only saved (unused) blocks?
It seems to me like a player could essentially "mint" additional curency into the economy by selling accumulated claim blocks, or am I misunderstanding something?

Thanks for taking over the project from BigScary; I recently found this plugin and on our server it appears to do a great job for the most part.
One problem I have found is since I am running a server with plugins AND mods (MCPC+) I was able to use this plugin in conjunction with IndustrialCraft 2 and nukes bypass the grief protection features. Players are able to detonante nukes inside protected areas AND above ground causing massive destruction.
For now I have disabled the nuke crafting recipe and reduced their blast power to less than TNT but is there something I could adjust or add in the GriefPrevention config that would make nukes behave like TNT or Creeper explosions and this protect claims?
Thanks for any insight you could provide and again for maintaining this plugin!

@Acreo_Aeneas
That seems like more of a question to ask the Tekkit or TekkitCustomizer team, we do not handle support for Tekkit servers, only our plugins.

Hmm, can I still use TekkitCustomizer if I'm using CB 1.4.7 R1.1 Snapshot? (That's the CB snapshot that MCPC+ Build #159 uses and that I am using on my server.)

Posted Mar 10, 2013I love a lot of the features of this, but I prefer worldguard and factions for territory claiming. Can you please include a disable feature for all that "junk"? Right now it's overriding my other plugins.

Posted Mar 9, 2013I have set my Claims.IdleLimitDays to 30 (if they don't log onto the server for 30 days, their claims expire). Their claims are not expiring though. I just had to manually remove a claim "on open ground with nothing built" that was 64 days old! What's going on with these claims?

Most definitely, you just have to put in the bock IDs.

I think we already have this, indigodistrict. I use /adminclaims to make an area, then /transferclaim name to give it away.

Posted Mar 9, 2013@arrexel,
Hmm, I was hoping there'd some way GP could block the mining laser and not me having to decompile the mod just to edit out the laser. Ideally, I would love for IC2 to give me a way to restrict the laser to admins only. I just think it's too much work having to decompile, edit, recompile (multiple times since it would get updated).
@tux2,
Oh, now I feel bad for screaming back. :'( I'm sorry for my tone of reply. I didn't realize it was a generic copy-paste. xD Do you think that TekkitCustomizer would work for non-Tekkit servers (aka like mines)?
@yaya21499,
Just use /adminclaims (or /ac) with the golden shovel in your hand. This will let you claim an infinite number of blocks.
As for editing the config file, make sure you stop your server before editing and saving those changes. Otherwise, none of the edits will be committed (as the file is in use by the server).
