Grief Prevention
AUTOMATICALLY PREVENTS ALL FORMS OF GRIEF, including build/break, theft, spam, fire, spawn camping, lava dumping, chat trolling, advertising and more, so you don't have to undo any damage after the fact. It even teaches players how to use it so you don't have to! No configuration or database required. Stop responding to grief and prevent it instead. Grief Prevention will solve your grief problems without requiring you to manage a roster of trained administrators, juggle 10 different anti-grief plugins, take away cool standard game features, publish a training manual / tutorial for players, or add explanatory signs to your world. You can also choose to integrate PvP elements into build design to finally get a PvP experience befitting a sandbox game about creative building.
Grief Prevention stops grief before it starts automatically without any effort from administrators, and with very little (self service) effort from players. Solve all your grief problems with a single download, no database, and no configuration step.

Please Vote for Grief Prevention
I've also posted Grief Prevention on the Spigot site, where plugins are ranked based on reviews. If you love GP, please take a couple of minutes to give GP your rating and leave a short review. Better rating and positive reviews will help server owners who look for plugins on the Spigot site make the safe choice (GP) instead of downloading something sketchy or incomplete. :) Thanks so much for all your support!

You're awesome. Thanks for being a competent developer and for keeping this plugin alive. It truly is the best anti-grief available. Best of luck figuring out all that code! :)

I can write a ruby script that would clean all nether claims for you (it would require your server to be down while you run it).
Can you run ruby scripts on your server? If yes, let me know and I will write something up for you.

Is there any way you can implement this? I think many people need it for the upcoming 1.5 update.
Thanks, Ceees2

Add a feature request ticket.
@Ceees2
Only manually at the moment.
@fungreenfox
I'm not quite sure, check the ticket section and see if the bug has already been reported. If it hasn't, please file a new ticket.
@zhengmgitzjason
I'll see if I can get BigScary to give me some insight on that problem.

Posted Mar 3, 2013I know I posted this at the top of the page, but I thought I'd post it in the comments section as well.
Hello all, as you all know, I have taken this project over. Please remember that I am still looking through all the code and getting everything set up. I've had several big events happen in real life that has prevented me from spending time on any of my projects for the past week, although it is settling down now and I should be able to start working on things again. I would also like to let you all know of several things: First, I do read every single comment, although I may not be able to respond to them all. Second, stop sending errors and bug reports to me personally! They end up mixed in with all the other PMs I get and I will never remember to look there. Over the next several days I will be re-organizing the pages here to be more user friendly and hopefully answer all of your questions. My goal is to get the comments section under control by giving users easy access to the answers they need so they don't have to keep asking the same questions over and over again. Please be patient as I work to make this project mine and understand everything about it. (I don't even know how to answer some questions yet as I don't know how that code works!) I promise that this plugin is not dead, that it is in capable hands, and that most of the tickets will be addressed by the end of the month. And now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

It does try to detect land height but it doesn't always succeed. There is a section in the config to override it and to set the land height manually. here's what that section looks like in my config:
SeaLevelOverrides:
world: -1
pvp: -1
pve: -1
pve_nether: -1
pvp_nether: -1
pve_the_end: -1
creative: 4
world_nether: -1
world_the_end: -1
snow: -1
snow_nether: -1
snow_the_end: -1
cavedin: -1
I have a flatlands map for my creative world and I had the same problem with the floating grass platform, which was solved by setting that value in the config.
I don't know what I'm going to do with the code base at the moment as I've had very minimal involvement up to this point. I will say though, it will be looked through, improvements implemented, and the plugin made mine.

Thanks for having replied. You're right I was on a flat land. I had used MCEdit and generated a flat map 64 blocks deep.
There is no stacktrace since there is no crash at all :P
How come the plugin doesn't work well with flat maps?
Edit :
You said you were trying to understand the plugin, well I read some part of it and I must say that starting everything from scratch would not do bad :p The code isn't really well structured and it is always easier to start from scratch so that way you know all parts of the code :)

Not too many plugins, just a really rough time in real life. I've been trying to look over the plugin and understand it, and then start fixing things, etc.
@Jamesst20
I assume you are on a flatlands map. Set the height of land manually and that will fix the problem.
@Jamesst20
Do you have a stack trace? if you do, make a ticket for it. If a ticket already exists, post your information in that ticket.
