Important information on this project in light of recent events.

If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).

The future of this plugin is still being determined.

Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.


Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

Posted May 10, 2014Hello, i love the plugin but theres one problem. when in factions my and a player is on a horse for example, other players cant kill the horse they are on so it is hard to kill them so its kinda cheap. So if you could make it so the horse take damage as well as the player who is riding it that would be awesome(they already die when on the horse but the horse does not)

Posted May 10, 2014Yea, this plugin doesn't work at all on my 1.7.9 server or any version after 1.7.2... Someone spawns a pet and it either errors none stop or the server just crashes on pet spawn.

Posted May 10, 2014For some reason whenever A player gets killed the pet gets "removed" but they still have that animal following them but they cant remove it without restarting the server.

Posted May 10, 2014Running on spigot 1.7.9 when a player leaves with his pet out, the whole server crashes.
The spigot crash report states its because of entity wolfpet and then a lot of lines relating to echo pets (see pastebin below)
I have had to remove echopets now. This was using EchoPet v2.3.3

I use the CommandSigns plugin for players to purchase the pet. I have four pets available for purchase at my spawn market, and with the signs I set a $5000 price on the signs so if they use the sign it costs that much money, and if they don't have the money they cant use the sign.

Posted May 8, 2014@zaino60 It works perfectly find for me, and I'm running the Spigot 1.7.9 build. So I don't think their will be any real issues until 1.8 is actually out and players can truly change their names, as that will probably conflict with pet owners. But other than that, it should work fine in my opinion.

It happens because this plugin does not support UUID and to get skins it will need to support that. Also remember that bukkit and bukkit forums does not support anyone that have issues with spigot. if you are using that kind of things, go and ask in spigot forums. spigot is so buggy and most of plugins doesn't work with it.

Posted May 5, 2014Ok now i join my server and it spawed 4 human pets when hey were really zombies! 2. it keeps saying there is a update when there is clearly not plz update! Thanks :D
