NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking. If you want to play a game of TowerControl to see what its like before installing it, click the link in my signature and join the server, then ask in chat for a TC game. Also do /tc join :)

Anyone that has the permission node "arena.duel.exempt" can not be challenged. Your ops probably have the "*" perm which would give them that flag.

Really sorry c0dejunkie. It was actually a mistake and they aren't being used yet. The messages ones will go away entirely (unless you want them).
So try to not look at the clutter right now... it will be going away. They shouldn't have been there.

Posted Feb 13, 2013so I gotta say that i really don't care for the latest update that has all the arena configs in individual files. I cant find any explanation as to how these new files work. do the settings in the individual files trump the settings in config.yml??? are the settings for the different arena types in the config.yml file just ignored now??? should i copy my arena configs from the config.yml to the individual arena files???
Also, there are a bunch of individual arena msg files that are no longer in the messages folder? do these new msg files trump the msg files in the original messages folder?? I now have 30+ files in my BattleArena folder and I really have no clue as to what files need to be altered to change things around!!!
I really think that you should have documented how all these new changes affect ppl that already have many different arena setups in their config.yml file , and if you did and i somehow missed it, then there should be a link on this page telling ppl that there have been changes made and how to go about working with them.
Also I have noticed that since i updated when users join an arena the plugin is no longer announcing to other users that someone has joined an arena but before i updated all of the announcements worked just fine.
Another thing that I have noticed is that you have yet to fix the event announcement error that I pointed out to you a week or so ago, I just wanted to make sure that you haven't forgotten about it, Ill re-post it here in case you did.

i think i may have found a small problem, when a scheduled event is being announced and it does it's count down until the event starts and then when no one joins the event it post a msg to chat about the event ending that says "Next Event will start in &62&e minutes". The color codes don't seem to be working for this msg. I looked through the default msg file to see if this msg could be changed but I could not find anyway to do so. Just wondering if this is a bug or if it is something that I may have done wrong, even though I can't find any where to change this msg.
