NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Posted Feb 13, 2013Okay, so I tried making the plugin completely automated using WorldGuard. I used WorldGuard Custom Flags and added the World Guard Region Command. I have a set region to run the command /arena join it allows the players to join the queque but when they get teleported it doesnt teleport them to the arena it just randomly choses who wins and teleports them back. Uh can I ask why is that? Is it something with worldguard not allowing them to teleport?

Posted Feb 13, 2013So I got this working on our server, but when it comes to duels, players can challenge each other, but cannot challenge ops. How can I allow this?
EDIT: nevermind. I got it. Had to add -arena.duel.exempt to OP group.

Fine by me, it's not like I was offering to give away my time and effort for nothing to a rival server because I'm nice like that.
As for cracked, we were founded by a group of people and most of those didn't have Minecraft. Since then, we've remained cracked because more people have joined who haven't bought Minecraft yet, even if the old founders are slowly buying the game. So yes, we support Minecraft, and because of our server, a lot of people have bought it. But it is despicable to force players out of the server who can't buy the game.
Oh and better uninstall QuickShop too then! Cheers.

I've made a similar one, its like king of the kill/domination where you click a particular block, and the surrounding wool slowly turns to your teams colour. Once it is your color, the "Tower" is claimed. They claim over time.
The game is won by either capturing all towers, or having the most towers captured at the end of the game.
So the difference is, the number of players standing around your tower/control point doesn't alter the speed it captures at. You still have to defend the towers though. I can do a download link if this is what you're looking for.

Something like that, yeah. That or a fill in the area with team color wool. I kinda like though the players in the area capture the point. Then the more players, the faster it is captured.

Actually, this would be quite cool, like Domination, in COD.
So like 3 areas on a map, 10x10 block radius, or something, say 2+ teams, first team to capture all 3 areas wins.
Player enters area and stays alive for 30 seconds and captures that area, if player is killed and no other player from that team still in area, it becomes available to capture, etc etc.
My players would love that.

Oops, yeah thats a bug... a very confusing bug.
I was putting that in because I want to move in that direction.. but it wasn't supposed to be in a release version yet.

Lol! thats a lot of stuff, all good ideas but I'm not sure if I can get them all done. The best you can do right now is specify a number of lives each person can have... I'd also like to put in a "restart" option so that when a player dies you can both restart at the spawns.

What permission plugin do you use, if any? But adding the node "arena.arena.join" should allow them to join.

Posted Feb 11, 2013I get a lot of errors in my console .. Is there someone who has the same problem? The only plugins I put in were 'BattleArena' and 'BattleTracker' I would be pleased if someone knows what the problem is because, this plugin looks pretty awesome.
