NOTICE
For updated files, please use the BattleArena2 page. It has all of our updated files, and many of the issues that exist in the latest version here have been fixed through updates.
Default Competitions (all changeable)
- Arena: Fight with what is given to you in the config. You can't bring items in or out
- Skirmish: Bring in what you want to fight with, you take out whatever you pick up
- Battlegrounds: Winner is the highest kills after 1 minute. 4 teams may compete
- Colosseum: 4 teams against each other, last man standing wins
- FFA: last player/team left standing wins
- deathmatch: 2 minute event where if you die you respawn. Highest kills wins
Tournaments
- tourney: Pick a match type and do a single elimination tournament of that type.

Due to a bug that I didnt catch.. doing /arena leave during an event causes a loop that can, but doesnt always, cause a crash.
The fix is here and I'm very sorry.
This has not cleared bukkit yet, but the fix is in

What are you trying to do?
The way it should work now (I'm remove matchEnableForceStart), is you pick the number of players you want per team, and the number of teams.
For example this would make it so that the timer starts and will start if at least 2 people are in the match... and will auto start if 10 people join.
nTeams: 2 teamSize: 1-5This would make it not have a timer... you need exactly 6 people to start

Someone else just reported that. Can you pastebin me the error on the console?? something has got to be going on. I've tried to make this happen and can't get it to work on my servers.
Please get that to me as soon as you can so I can fix whatever this is.. It also might be a plugin conflict so if you could pm me your plugin list that might help to.

Posted Feb 6, 2013I am having a serious issue. Whenever someone leaves a event with /epb l or /ctf l and such, it crashes the server. The person who left the arena has a flooded chat saying "You have left the EPaintball Event" I'm not sure if this makes the plugin overload the server, but it does causes a crash. I have tested this with all the arenas I use including Paintball, Spleef, and CTF. It all results in the same error, which is why I'm assuming its a BattleArena issue.

Posted Feb 6, 2013I don't like how the new update works. And the last version doesn't work for me anymore. My spleef used to announce a player joining, and if another player joined, it announced and and the match started in 6 seconds. Now, I can't get it to announce a player joining.

Posted Feb 6, 2013Hi, I found your plugin while browsing and tried to try it out, but apparently my server says it is not a valid zip archive... I also cannot open it with 7zip like I can all my other plugins. What does this mean, am I just getting a corrupted BattleArena.jar every time, or does this plugin not have full support for windows? I'd really like this to work, for I also downloaded ArenaSpleef and I was able to open that with 7zip, but I can't run it on the server without BattleArena, and everytime I try to download it, it's corrupted or unopenable. Please help!

I probably won't ever add that in because that sounds like an entire plugin by itself (i'd be surprised if it didn't already exist). Just so much you can do with adding effects to weapons and items.
But I bet there is a plugin that does that :)

I understand the health/hunger deal. As for the class command, could you not just add a permission for using a /class command? So that those who want to only use signs don't have to give the permission to anyone.

I don't think this is plausible with the bukkit API. Bukkit's no-fly detection is pretty crappy from what I've experienced, so I'd suggest just disabling it, and if necessary get NoCheatPlus or something. NCP detects potion effects, unlike bukkit.

I might be able to make some hooks for mcmmo. As far as boosts and flight, I'm not sure how to work around that, any ideas yourself?

A command for changing classes is a bit hard because most people only want them to be able to choose the classes when the match starts, not always... so not sure of a good way to do that.
For the hunger and health thing, I'm sure there is a plugin that does it, I don't think it should be part of BattleArena itself.
