ZOMBIE INSANITY
Quick Description
This is a MineZ-like plugin that mostly enhances zombie survival servers. This plugin provides a thirst feature, visibility feature, and configurable potion effects zombies can inflict when they bite. There are several more features, and you can check them out below.
I WILL NO LONGER BE UPDATING THIS PLUGIN. Updating the plugin is up to whoever else. If you download it, the source code is in the .jar file. I have moved on to a more important (to me) project.
Features
Current Features:
- - All features listed can be turned off in config
- - Disabling other mobs from spawning
- - Make zombies spawn in place of other spawns
- - Cause potion effects to people/villagers damaged by zombies
- - Random chance for zombies to spawn with helpful potion effects (resistance, strength, etc)
- - More specific options for forcing zombie spawns
- - Thirst bar
- - Visibility levels
- - Resistance (non-fire) ability for zombie spawns
- - People in creative do not lose thirst
- - Chance that you experience bite effects
Problems/Help

THE NEW .JAR REQUIRES THAT YOU DELETE YOUR OLD CONFIG & SETTINGS AND RELOAD YOUR SERVER!
I changed up the config again (sorry), but I think you will find it much easier to use.

Also, I don't understand the levels still for visibility. Is low = crouching and medium = walking? If so, what is sprinting? Add a 'high' option.

Posted Jul 24, 2012I agree with everyone else, please work on the speed first than anything and then the multi-world function (well, I don't need it but I see a lot of requests for that to work), it would help this plugin improve by a lot since speed is a big factor in MineZ or DayZ (which ever one.)

Posted Jul 24, 2012Idea: Speed and multiworld before anything else, but if I'm going to throw anything out there, it would be nice to have a configuration section to the height zombies could spawn, IE between Y:50 to Y:100?
... or just make zombies spawn on surface layer, the reason for this is because in a server like mine we fill in caves, any entities underground are not needed, so it's just a waste of CPU even rendering them server side.
But definitely make it a configuration option, because obviously not all servers follow the same path as mine.
I would clean up your "planned" list a bit, priorities first, do not rush yourself to get features out.

Just get Phatloots It even has an application to configure the chest contents and probability and amount of items!
Please focus on zombie speed. Don't waste time on this!

It breaks other plugins for me confirmed. When I remove it, all other commands work from a multitude of plugins. With it in they say they work but nothing happens.

Posted Jul 23, 2012umm i have a suggestion? how bout some settings on aggro range and on the next update, can you have zombie speed fully working? Also another option enabling/ disabling making of iron golems and snow golems because currently, you cant make them! thanks :P

Posted Jul 23, 2012Aww, It's a shame that the Multiworld support is dead and was removed. I really hope that you can fix that, I need to get this running on my main server. My users are getting a tad unhappy about it....

Ah, I kind of knew that but wasn't completely sure. A short detailed tutorial using Eclipse to compile it back to a .class file? A youtube link describing everything is also fine with me.

Remove the extra parenthesis, only need one set around statement.
Also, make sure you have closing bracket :)

If you are still looking for someone to take this over, I recommend http://dev.bukkit.org/profiles/Bjornke/ . He is amazing with zombies, and AI. But currently there is a major issue. This plugin breaks every single command I use.
No commands work, and multiworld doesn't work.

Posted Jul 23, 2012Hey, Just wondering if you have any ideas why this plugin is not working, Zombies are burning, all mobs are spawning, thirst isn't working (even without OP or creative) and I need this amazing plugin for my DayMC server..... Is there a "Quick fix" for it? Am I doing something wrong? Or is the plugin just bugged at the moment? Might I add I know it is not a plugin conflict I took off all other plugins and tested. Please reply and thanks so much for this plugin!
PS: Could you make an option for how fast hunger goes down? It goes down way to fast and I would like to be able to change it. :)
