Survival Games

Survival Games is a plugin that has the aim of creating a fully automated hunger games style experience. The plugin was created to be simple to use, and to be easily setup on any type of server, no matter the size or type! Survival Games provides a way for your server to have a full fledged, fully automated hunger games experience for any player. Requirements

Before installing this plugin, a few things are required.

WorldEdit- Needed to create arenas.
MySQL Database (optional) - If you wish to use stats, you must have an SQL database.

Conflicts

Any plugin that modifies damage amounts by applying more damage can sometimes cause issues and make the player actually die (ie McMMO).
Some locking plugins such as LWC have been reported to have issues with the lobby signs, but should work normally if protection is turned of for those signs.
WORLD PORTAL will make this plugin completely break if the lobby is not in a world that is loaded at start!

/sg setlobbywall was changed to /sg addwall <arena> in versions 0.5.0 and above!

New Permissions:

If you have for example 6 arenas, and you want every player to be able to join all arenas, give each rank the following permissions:

sg.arena.join.<arena#> (Replace <arena#> with the arena number.)
sg.arena.join
sg.player.vote
sg.lobby.join

Note: Devs and important people of this plugin have colored names on lobby signs

Love this plugin, but in my opinion it would be nice to have the feature to have chests that do not have random stuff and are refilled each time the game starts. It would also be nice to have the feature to make the plugin activate a lever or button when the game starts :) Anyway, thanks for this awesome plugin!

Whenever the match is completed, the winner is teleported back to the spawn point and everyone else is not allowed to join the game. It says from the lobby wall that the game is in session with all the players of the previous round however, no one can actually join the game. The winner of the last game is then stuck in the arena and cannot move from the spawn point. The only way for me to fix this seems to be to disable and then enable the arena. Any thoughts?

I also really would love custom rewards (items or money).

Other than those issues, best hunger games plugin I've used. (Especially considering most of the features actually work).

Its because the player are not really killed, just teleport out of the arena.

Hey Double_0_Negative,

I just notice something with your plugin. I have installed a plugin on my server, the plugin is called RankUpOnKills. When I use this plugin, on normal pvp battles out of the survival games, I do rank up when i kill someone. However, in the Survival Games i do not rank up when i kill someone. I also noticed that the death screen does not pop up when you die. I like the idea of just dying and going back to spawn but i really would like to be able to use this plugin. Would you be able to allow the plugin to work with your plugin, or will i have to contact the creators of RankUpOnKills?\

EDIT: One more thing, would you be able to add a bloodbath, meaning after a configurable time, will teleport every player/spectator to the centre to watch/fight to win. My users find it quite annoying when games go for so long.

Mine says it can't run without the MySQL Dataase, but I don't know how to install it and make sure it makes the plugin work properly. And I can't make ranks or any perms. :C

Still getting these problems:

1. IN-Game issue. Every player dies but the arena claims to be ingame still.

2. Finishing, 100% bug. Annoying as hell, breaks everything.

i wasnt using group manager i was only using the player permissions in the essentials perms config. only ops were able to use the signs but i will try to add the nodes after i import the worlds again.

EDIT: Ok it work'd, I need to put in the nodes after importing and reloading again. Thanks.

Are you using groupmanager? That's what I use and it works fine for me. If you are using multiverse be sure that players have the right nodes in ALL the worlds related to the Hunger/Survival Games.

Hello, I have had players have the "No Permission" message come up. I have read the comments and have added the permission nodes to the players groups, yet they still have no permission. I am using essentials. should i not?

Please add Custom Rewards to this Plugin!

Also there is an Error when you /delarena [id] When you do this the Console shows a internal error, nonstop.

hey i checked everything i set usesql to false and the stats enabled to false. it still says cannot connect to the database plugin disabled. is there anything else that i should change to false or what?

@essej6991 We have thought of this, we find it better when the chests are restocked with random items.

@osakr1998 this just means it try's to save the config, but its already there. don't worry about this, its not an error.

@GoldenWrapper they are, you must have another plugin conflicting or something, if not restart your server and then try (don't reload)

@TheEvilSocks you need to add the permission nodes to the ranks you want to be able to join.

@bowser484 it should be reseting, it does work. make sure you server is not reloaded (/reload). Try restarting it?

You need "sg.arena.join" for them to click on the join sign

and

"sg.lobby.join" to be able to do "/sg join"
