SpoutTitle
SpoutTitle
Description:
SpoutTitle is a Spout server-side plugin that allows users with Spoutcraft to change their nameplate settings. Currently users nameplates are hidden automatically when they join the server, the hiding feature could be used when playing a game or on war/fighting servers where you don't want other teams to see you approaching. In the future users/admins will be able to change their names in the nameplate and much more.
Update 1.2 AutoHide Features:
- Automatically hide player nameplates on join -Fixed many bugs
Please put in a ticket if you find any bugs or have performance issues! (The current method I am using to auto hide is slightly inefficient, although it worked fine on my test server it may cause performance issues on larger servers, PLEASE test it out!)**
Download V1.2 Here
- Please ensure you delete all old SpoutTitle Files when updating.

Sorry to everyone about the lack of support, I've been busy with school and work and have had a lot of trouble trying to implement the autohide feature. The plugin is now updated and working with autohide in version 1.2, please report any bugs with a ticket.

You have to open the .jar with a program like 7zip. And in there there's a file called plugin.yml. Open it in notepad and erase the space(s) between the words "usage:" and "/<command>". And replace it with a single space. Save and close. 7zip should ask you if you want to save the changes. Answer yes. And the plugin should load properly ;)

Posted Apr 13, 2012There's an error in plugin.yml that makes the plugin not load. For me at least. Seems like there's a line break right before /<command> where there shouldn't be. I couldn't see it in notepad, but after I tried to fix it, the plugin loads fine. You can see the error here: world's longest link
That being said, the plugin is awesome and does what it's supposed to ;D The only thing I'd like is if there was a setting to automatically hide everyone's names.

I definently will, I've already made a version to autohide when a player logs in for my server. I'll release it to public once I get the bugs out :) Should be a few days.

Posted Apr 6, 2012Hi there! Nice plugin you've made. I am currently developing an FPS game for spout, and it would be nice to use a plugin, that hides the players nameplates automaticly. Can you add this feature? Thanks! - Uniqueform

Oh that's right! I forgot about SpoutNinja, which I used to use on my server.
Yeah there's one here: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/misc-herosneak-1-2-4-the-auto-sneak-plugin-to-hide-your-name-302-1337.4869/

Posted Apr 4, 2012@acuddlyheadcrab I actually didn't think about that. This is actually a revival of an older outdated SpoutNinja so there really wasn't that much thinking going into it anyways xD . Ill look into that though, do you know if there are any plugins that already do that?

Posted Apr 4, 2012I've heard of this being done without spout using the setCrouch() method. Have you ever tried that out? I have a feeling it makes your player crouched, but just lets you move as fast as normal.
