Movecraft is back home!
Thank you all for supporting SpoutTransport. We are now finally starting to see the light at the end of an extended tunnel. With the new update looming, although still very not finished, we have merged back into the original move craft.
Please use the normal move craft page.
ci.countercraft.net is still going to provide the latest builds when we start building the new version finally.

We've got it set up on our server, but I had a question I can't find an answer for :s. It's mentioned that spoutcraft might rectify the chest issue; is that just the serverside plugin? Using that'd be pretty easy to make temporary for us then, yes? We don't mind using it for a while, but don't want to stick with it.

Posted Apr 15, 2012Hey i've got a problem with this plugin, i've tried numerous ways of setting it up, if a normal user on my server without operator tries using /boat pilot or any of the ships, instead of saying whatever it doesn't say anything, i don't see any error messages either, or any response in console, however it works normally if a OP does it, i don't have any permissions setup, so maybe thats the problem? i can't find any config settings to change it so a normal user can use it either, could you add support for that if thats the problem? Thanks for making a awesome plugin!
EDIT: Setup permissionsEX, still doesn't work, and i know the permission files are working properly.

Movecraft.xml is the config file, it's in the same directory as the craft files and fixes mos peoples problems.
Your lag is not world guard or movecraft, try madrealms.net to see proof of that.
The version you are downloading is a updated version of syco's, the rewrite will be done in about a week. So all syco bugs still exist in released version.

I usually hold a bone, as sticks are used for the magicspells plugin, (and a lot of other ones out there we dont use)
Any chance next version down for a config.yml with vehiclecontrol=280 setting you can change youself, I always suggested to players to use bone on the old release.
Hmm i tested two vehicles, tho one did have a dispensor in it (that was the only chest style block that worked in old movecraft)
I'll create a minimalist vehicle out of wood and try to pilot it again..
What is this movecraft.xml you mentioned to another player earlier? Unless it is in the jar, all I have in my plugin/movecraft folder is the vehicle definitions left over from the old movecraft
Now testing:
ok, aside from being flooding with "you are now using XX spell" when i use a stick (from spells plugin), my test "glider" is working, but if i turn right i dont appear in the correct location and fall off. Ill test it with a 2x2 cockpit instead of a 1x1 and see if it makes any difference. But hey buggy or no it works now. (testing: i still fall off)
Hmm If i understand this correctly the turn right seems to be pivoting from roughly the centre point of the glider, not the block on which i am standing, causing me to fall off. Still turn never worked on the old plugin so still better than nothing.
Results:
Small (8x8 minimalist) aircraft seem ok (except turning not moving players correctly)
Medium (11x11 square) airvehicle/bomber/ufo vehicles seem to lag out the server in certain conditions - i think it is when crossing a worldguard boundry. Not sure. It flew ok for about 15 blocks, then as i flew through an airlock(made of glowstone and bedrock), over a worldguard boundry it would lag out the server every 1 block moved, once clear or the bedrock and boundry it still lagged out, but it APPEARS to just be the movecraft plugin lagging, I was able to trigger a falsebook sign even when the server appeared to be lagging out, suggesting movecraft was doing crazy things not the rest of the server.
Large Vehicle (20x20+) - not tested (these used to always be a problem on old movecraft not game to try)

Either your server is horribly underpowered for the ship size you have setup or you have discovered a new issue.

Oh no! If I turn it on, players fall down. Plugin teleports players with chanse 50%, but not always! =( It teleports if i one-click. If I clamps button, it don't teleports.

It is not lag it is teleporting the players, turn on TryNudge in config.
Please thoroughly read movecraft.xml before complaining we are missing features we have.
As to sail area, you can make that a module when the API is released.

1) My players have a lags with staying and moving in moving ship (they can not to move if ship is travel). Blocks moves very fast. Me need more time for between move ship. Can you create slowly-time move of blocks (ship)? More concretely it plugin moves blocks several times per second. Me need move at 10 blocks (distance) per 5 seconds. Plugin moves 2 blocks (distance) per second. This is the same, but it lags less. Already, players can move and fight on the ship... Replace maxSpeed ​ on maxspeedpertime and timemoveship in config file of types of ships. 2) Can you create calculation of the sail area for movespeed of ships?.. Sail area/number of blocks=maxspeedpertime 3) Can you turn off autoadd of basic types? I added my types and deleted standarts types of ships, but it recreated!
