Description
This plugin will add a replacement for the default skylands world generator, the one in the game was never finished.
Stuff that this generator has that the default skylands doesn't:
- Day-night cycle
- Weather
- Normal biomes
- All mobs
- All ores

How do I use it ?
Don't want to watch the awesome video ? Fine, here are the basic commands.
/mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style Nether like this
/mv create skylands nether -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style End like this
/mv create skylands the_end -g SkylandsPlus
Other world management plugins should have similar commands, I use Multiverse on my server which is why I only provide the instructions for that. The documentation for which ever plugin you use should tell you how to do it. You can also add a world by editing the bukkit.yml file, instructions on how to do that can be found on the Bukkit wiki.
Config
prevent-sand-falling: true restrict-mob-spawning: true
prevent-sand-falling - When set to true no sand will fall in skylands worlds.
restrict-mob-spawning - When set to true the number of mobs in a single chunk will be limited to a sane amount in skylands worlds.
Contributing
Contributions to the project are very much welcome, if you have a feature that you want implemented and know a nice way to do it then consider forking the repo and submitting a pull request. These will be accepted as long as the following simple guidelines are followed.
- Do not edit the structure of the pom.xml file, feel free to add a dependency if you need it but the formatting and structure should not be changed.
- If you are exposing a new API method, add a JavaDoc comment to it, but don't over-comment internal code.
- Follow the existing code style, don't antagonise over every space though !
All dependencies that are used are now available from a public Maven repo, so you don't have to worry about building several other projects just to add a simple change any more.

I could do that yeah, but there would then be a huge amount of wasted space under the islands and a lot less space to build balloons.
I do accept donations (top right of this page) but it's not at all necessary :D

Not to sound like an idiot, but couldn't you just raise the height of the world by 40 blocks? After a certain height the void turns blue.
Also, Skylands-End? My life is now complete. ;-;

Not at the moment, it's client side. There are a few things I can do to force it to stay blue but they all have bad side effects.

13.10 00:32:30 [Server] INFO Could not set generator for world 'test': Plugin 'skylandplus' does not exist
Am I doing something wrong?

You get a normal world if you type the name of the generator plugin wrong, it should be "SkylandsPlus" exactly. The void colour is client side, I have a few workarounds for it but they all have side effects.

Posted Oct 4, 2012Hey I don't know if it is MV or this plugin but it says it generated the world using the "skylands" generator but it just creates another regular world! I need help with that. And it would be totally awesome if you could remove the black void and replace it with the original blue void! Just something you could do for a future update!

Posted Sep 28, 2012For some random reason NO MOBS are spawning on my Skyland world. Im using Multiverse to operate the Skyland world. In the world.yml file in my Multiverse-Core folder, I says that i have my Skyland world on NORMAL and mobs should be spawning, but there not.

I would keep it to be on the safe side, if you remove the plugin there is a chance that you will get some normal terrain if new chunks do generate for what ever reason.

The plugin does not create a world, you don't specifically need multiverse but you do need to create a world and set this as the generator.
