How do I use it ?
Don't want to watch the awesome video ? Fine, here are the basic commands.
/mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style Nether like this
/mv create skylands nether -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style End like this
/mv create skylands the_end -g SkylandsPlus
Other world management plugins should have similar commands, I use Multiverse on my server which is why I only provide the instructions for that. The documentation for which ever plugin you use should tell you how to do it. You can also add a world by editing the bukkit.yml file, instructions on how to do that can be found on the Bukkit wiki.
Config
prevent-sand-falling: true restrict-mob-spawning: true
prevent-sand-falling - When set to true no sand will fall in skylands worlds.
restrict-mob-spawning - When set to true the number of mobs in a single chunk will be limited to a sane amount in skylands worlds.
Contributing
Contributions to the project are very much welcome, if you have a feature that you want implemented and know a nice way to do it then consider forking the repo and submitting a pull request. These will be accepted as long as the following simple guidelines are followed.
- Do not edit the structure of the pom.xml file, feel free to add a dependency if you need it but the formatting and structure should not be changed.
- If you are exposing a new API method, add a JavaDoc comment to it, but don't over-comment internal code.
- Follow the existing code style, don't antagonise over every space though !
All dependencies that are used are now available from a public Maven repo, so you don't have to worry about building several other projects just to add a simple change any more.

Posted Sep 17, 2012For some reason "the_end" is broken again. I'm getting an error when trying to create it with Multiverse-Core (version 2.5-b590 (no awesome build)).

They are meant to be moved up, so diamond should spawn in the lower 14 blocks of the land.

@EpicTrance
You're doing it wrong. Make sure you get the name of the plugin exactly right.

Posted Sep 14, 2012I'm having trouble making a skylands with multiverse. Multiverse just keeps making a world called skylands and ignores the rest of the code

Nope that's a client bug as far as I can tell, you see the same thing if you remove a full chunk with worldedit. The problem occurs in totally empty chunks.

Posted Sep 14, 2012Does this update fix the ghost blocks at level 1 in 1.3.2. I would just try it but its to hard to delete the world. It causes issues on my server for some reason.

No, its not the issue with the 1 layer foor. I assume that rather happens when people use the older Multiverse versions. From version 580 and up it generates flawless.
That empty chunks are unlit - dupped "Black hole/null chunks" (https://github.com/betterphp/SkylandsPlus/issues/34) - is a different issue.

I think it's a client bug, when a chunk is totally empty you get that weird 1 layer floor. I see the same thing in one of the minigames on my server that has no floor.

Posted Sep 13, 2012All empty chunks are generated as "Black Holes/Null chunks" with .13.1
Per pure coincidence I found a "workaround" the "Black Holes/Null Chunks": Ive used Worldedit to place a single block inside the "null chunk" and voila, after relogging the shadowed chunk was gone. Even after a server restart it didnt show up again!
But: When you remove said block the Null chunk shows up again!

Posted Sep 13, 2012Wide_load, any news about the reported "Black Holes/Null Chunks"? This is really a problem, because its not possible to build in them and also I havent found any workaround yet. (https://github.com/betterphp/SkylandsPlus/issues/34)

Posted Sep 12, 2012Using Bukkit 1.3.2 Beta + Multiworld
Got this when tried to generate skylands:
If I understand, it shouldn't place some layers to bottom of world and it must be clear.
