Description
This plugin will add a replacement for the default skylands world generator, the one in the game was never finished.
Stuff that this generator has that the default skylands doesn't:
- Day-night cycle
- Weather
- Normal biomes
- All mobs
- All ores

How do I use it ?
Don't want to watch the awesome video ? Fine, here are the basic commands.
/mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style Nether like this
/mv create skylands nether -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style End like this
/mv create skylands the_end -g SkylandsPlus
Other world management plugins should have similar commands, I use Multiverse on my server which is why I only provide the instructions for that. The documentation for which ever plugin you use should tell you how to do it. You can also add a world by editing the bukkit.yml file, instructions on how to do that can be found on the Bukkit wiki.
Config
prevent-sand-falling: true restrict-mob-spawning: true
prevent-sand-falling - When set to true no sand will fall in skylands worlds.
restrict-mob-spawning - When set to true the number of mobs in a single chunk will be limited to a sane amount in skylands worlds.
Contributing
Contributions to the project are very much welcome, if you have a feature that you want implemented and know a nice way to do it then consider forking the repo and submitting a pull request. These will be accepted as long as the following simple guidelines are followed.
- Do not edit the structure of the pom.xml file, feel free to add a dependency if you need it but the formatting and structure should not be changed.
- If you are exposing a new API method, add a JavaDoc comment to it, but don't over-comment internal code.
- Follow the existing code style, don't antagonise over every space though !
All dependencies that are used are now available from a public Maven repo, so you don't have to worry about building several other projects just to add a simple change any more.

That sounds like the kind of functionality we really want/need. Know any way to get max spawns per chunk in regular worlds - besides MaxTPS (doesn't work too well for me).

It limits the number of mobs that can spawn in one chunk. Because of all the large overhangs and shadowy areas you get an awful lot of hostile mobs by default.
MultiVerse can turn off weather for a world, and I think commandbook can too.

Otherwise everything is working fine except for the fact nobody likes rain in the skylands. Whatis the best plugin to force a certain type of weather that is compatible with this?

That is nothign to do with my plugin. You should try to work out which one is causing the problem and then ask the autor of that plugin.

Posted Apr 4, 2012Non-admins are not allowed to place blocks in my Skylands world. Non-admins can, however, REMOVE blocks. I use several permissions mods such as Group Manager, they are all set up correctly and working for all of my multiple worlds except Skylands. My mods are not prohibiting placement onto this one world, nor do I have mods that allow destruction but deny placing.
As you might imagine, this bug renders the entire world useless on my server. Any suggestions?

Posted Apr 3, 2012Well, if some one wants skylands. Generate with multiverse 1.1-R4 and skylands nad put in in your main map and ofcourse delete the #525 multiverse dev build or just import it again again again again. It might fix some issue's.

Posted Apr 2, 2012Hey, I'm using latest multiverse and skylandsplus version. Generating a new skyland world is very time intensive but works. but when I look up to the upper level of islands, they are flat cut at the bottom (at around hight level 145) looks not really natural :( generating new chunks crashes my server after it lags like hell a few minutes.
hope this gets fixed because skylands is a really really nice generator plugin :)

I need wait multiverse to ocme out as a balance build.
Well it maybe generator. IT should say normal instead of flat. If it flat it will show some skyland and the rest is flat. Well this is added after 1.1-R4 at the dev build. It may cause some conflict. Well u need good tester because i mark this as unconfirm.

It's okay that Multiverse shows the wrong world type. It's probably just reporting it before my plugin changes it.
Or did you mean that that is the cause of the broken generation ? If so, I have tested this every time someone reports it as a bug and that is not the cause.

that cause the flat glitch
i just notic it.
After you make it and shut off your server and restart it that cause it.

Posted Apr 2, 2012Part of it worked, but it didn't make the whole world skylands? Is there a plugin to fully generate chunks? Or anyway to fix my problem?
