Shopkeepers

Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.

Posted Apr 5, 2015Ohhhhkay. So I could change the item to something else, like a feather or something, and it should work without having to spawn a villager?

The same way as with other player shops as well: you select the shop and object type with the creation item (villager egg) and then click some block and it should attach a sign to it.

I just tried it and there are some situations in which the behavior does indeed seem a little buggy: the sign isn't created if missing, and/or it doesn't check if the player is looking at a sign in the first place. I currently don't have the time to look into it in detail, but to get it working for now try the following (for creating an admin sign shopkeeper):

Posted Apr 4, 2015For some reason, I can't make sign shops. I want players to be able to create sign shops so we don't have tons of villagers, but it's not letting me, most of the time saying I don't have permission to do the command (though I totally do) and the one time it said it worked, it didn't actually create a shop. Not entirely sure how to go about rectifying this - entity shops work just fine. Otherwise, super fun plugin, thanks!

Probably the same issue as this one: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/shopkeepers/tickets/298-shopkeeper-save-file-corrution/
It's an issue with spigot's serialization of the head item, as far as I can tell. There is a open spigot ticket about it.

Bought items stack fine for me. Please create a ticket and fully describe the items you are setting up the shop with, which stack before you put the into the shop, and which no longer stack after you bought them from the shop again.

AH!!! ok... I was almost certain that it the way the item was created and just wasn't MATCHING up to what the shopkeepers plugin was expecting as the tool. the Character & would certainly do that if the plugin is expecting § so i will definitely try that when i get off work tomorrow and hopefully i can get this issue taken care of.
Thank you kindly for pointing that out cause i was at a loss of what i had formatted wrong with the NBTediting.

You have to use the character § instead of & in the config currently. I think this wasn't originally intended by me, so I might change this in the next update, but to get it working now try something like this:
shop-creation-item-name: "§6Custom Name"
Also make sure that you are not in creative mode while testing the item. The creation item doesn't work in creative mode.
Well, it worked fine for me, even with color codes (besides the issue mentioned above). So I cannot reprodue the issue if no color codes are involved currently.
Nope, there isn't something like this built into shopkeepers. The villager-hiring, and the shopkeeper-deletion-returns-creation-item features can give you the creation item, though I just found a bug, that those items are not applying the configured lore currently.
So you will have to use some other plugin to give you items with custom names and lore (or use the newly added vanilla minecraft command for that). I personally use PowerNBT during my testing, though it is a bit tricky to use correctly.

Posted Mar 28, 2015ok. I seem to be having a problem here. I want to use a custom tool for shopkeepers
Ive edited the config to reflect this as seen here http://pastebin.com/VFuem7nH
I cant seem to find anyway to GIVE myself that tool so i created the equivilant with an NBT editor. how ever the tool ive created does not work.
ive tried setting the config to reflect the color codes, ive tried without the color codes, im not sure what i am doing wrong here but the fact that the lines for lore and name exist in the config tells me its possible to use a custom tool rather than a default egg.
is there a way to /give myself the shopkeeper tool as per the config or is there something special i need to do to the custom created item?
my shopkeeper tool setup:
shop-creation-item: MONSTER_EGG
shop-creation-item-data: 120
shop-creation-item-name: &6ShopKeeper Creation Tool
shop-creation-item-lore:
- &5Right Click in the air to select the shop
- &5Shift Right Click to select the entity
- &5Right Click the chest to be used
- &5Right Click spawn area
my custom tool:
'MONSTER_EGG:120|&6ShopKeeper Creation Tool|&5Right Click in the air to select the shop|&5Shift Right Click to select the entity|&5Right Click the chest to be used|&5Right Click spawn area '
the formating is so messed up in this post, this forum lacks any kind of formating options not even HTML seems to work but I can both craft this item with craftbook and can give myself this item by command, however it doesnt do anything at all except spawn villagers.

You can use the experimental citizens shopkeepers for that. Adding it to shopkeepers directly seems to complicated to me right now.

Try recompiling spigot, and make sure you are using the correct result jar (not the 'original', or 'unmapped' one).
