Shopkeepers

Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.

Because the version you are using was compiled for spigots 1.8 version of bukkit. Please try again with v1.40 and let me know if that works.

Yeah, the latest versions were all made with only spigots versions for MC 1.8 in mind. I will look into making this backwards compatible again.
This should also fix the issues @crisislost has.

Posted Jan 4, 2015Sadly received an error trying to trade an item with a display name for an item with a display name.
Without debug mode, no error messages pop up and it doesn't work. With debug mode I get the following error: http://pastebin.com/buRqhqAx
Bukkit/Spigot version: This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Spigot-1.7.9-R0.2-205-g0a049fa (MC: 1.7.10) (Implementing API version 1.7.10-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)
Using shopkeepers loadup: [Shopkeepers] Enabling Shopkeepers v1.38 [22:31:57 WARN]: [Shopkeepers] Citizens Shops enabled, but Citizens plugin not found or disabled.
EDIT: I modified the item in the shop to the one i was selling and it worked after that. They look the same so not sure why it did this. Also still getting the exception although it seems to at least trade now.

Usually switching from craftbukkit to spigot can be done without problems. Note howevere that switching to spigot 1.7.2 won't do any difference to your problem, because you have to switch to a higher version, like 1.7.10. If that doesn't work as well then you have to switch to spigot 1.8.
You can configure that your players cannot create shops by negating the shopkeeper.player permissions node with the use of some permissions plugin (I personally use PermissionsEx for that).

Hey,
I have tried Shopkeepers v1.39 myself on a craftbukkit 1.7.2 server and I was not getting this error during my tests (though I was getting another error regarding getOnlinePlayer() on each plugin start / reload).
So apparently I thought Shopkeepers would work for these older versions of craftbukkit as well, but the error you posted seems to prove that the opposite is the case..
So it seems that in order to get those newer versions of shopkeepers running you have to use later server versions. You could try it with some latest build of craftbukkit (for MC 1.7.10) (if you find any online for download..) or you use the latest spigot builds (for MC 1.8) with which I test with and which work fine. You can find all the information on spigot here: http:spigotmc.org/
On another note: please don't post error stacktraces directly here in the comment section, they spam quite a lot. Instead for example upload the error log to some website like pastebin.com and only leave the link to it here. Or create a ticket and attach the error log as attachment.

Okay, I can now reproduce this (I tried on the middle one mostly..).
Though I don't know yet how to fix it or what the exact issue is. It is in some way related to the closing of the inventory.
I am still investigating.

Posted Dec 29, 2014you must click on the right or left emerald.. not on the middle
first hold shift and then press the left & right mouse-button exactly at the same time while holding shift
i didn't want to believe it too..
Edit: I made a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku5d4GYmosA

I tried but I cannot reproduce your issue: the (visual, client-side) emeralds instantly get removed from the player inventory again for me.

Posted Dec 29, 2014Thank you for this plugin! I really love it. But today i found a huge issue :/
If i open the Hire-Menue and press shift+right & left-mouse together on the price (emerald) it copies itself into my inventory so players can cheat emeralds!
sorry for my very bad english :D
