Shopkeepers

Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.

Add-On Plugins
Sometimes, a feature is either to specific to include directly into the Shopkeepers plugin, or I did not yet have the time to add something similar myself. You can find a list of both official and third-party add-on plugins that extend the functionality of the Shopkeepers plugin in the wiki: https://github.com/Shopkeepers/Shopkeepers-Wiki/wiki/Add-On-Plugins
If you have also written an add-on plugin that you want to add to the list, let me know!

I dont suppose anyone else has reported the issue of Shopkeepers not keeping their skin upon server restart. Like if I change their appearance and restart the server the appearance resets to the butcher. I can write a ticket up for you, but wanted to verify it is an issue with your plugin and not some of the crap I have going on.

More control over item comparison, maybe even on a per-shop basis, is something on my todo list.

That's cool. I am just scripting my own static vendors and then will use Shopkeepers for instant and player vendors.

Posted Dec 14, 2014Could you add an option to ignore the owner meta data on skull items, only matching damage value?
I have a PVP setup using the Player Heads plugin to drop player's heads when they are killed by another player.
I want to set up shopkeepers that sell various things (spawn eggs, etc) in exchange for player heads (but only player heads).
I also want to keep the owner data so that players can mount trophies of their victims complete with the correct player skin on their walls or on posts.
The only way I seem to be able to do this at the moment is to set drops to plain heads only, which spoils the fun of building a trophy collection.

Could you please create a more detailed ticket for your issue? I just tried the buying, normal and trading player shops on v1.31 and they still work just fine. If you changed the currency settings buying shops which only have the old currency items in their chests do of course no longer use those.
@tk11
Nope, they will always open the normal villger trading menu if that is what you mean. There are no plans to change that as well, as that's the unique feature of this plugin.

Posted Dec 12, 2014I don't suppose that there is an easy way to change the vendor menus, is there? I have been playing with CreateYourOwnMenus and Skript, but I just wanted to check here first. I am thinking of the vendors on LOM, where all of the items are displayed in the window.
Thanks

Posted Dec 10, 2014For whatever reason, none of my users can actually use shops with v1.31 on Spigot 1.8 - Buy shops appear empty, sell shops and trade shops populate like usual but cannot be used. I downgraded to 1.30 and everything is fine, but I'd really love to have the lore on the currency item buttons. I can open a ticket and enable debug if needed.
Also, in 1.8, stacks of 0 actually display the 0 - it would be a nice feature to be able to set my 0 currency item to a 0 stack of the actual item.

Yeah, I am also quite a bit behind with updating the documentation to the current state of the plugin :(
Things like permissions and config options weren't updated yet since the 1.20 releases.
Haven't watched your video completely yet, but if you are doing another one you might maybe want to try to get it a bit shorter and more understandable. For example you might want to turn off the mob sounds in minecraft.
Besides of that I am of course always happy of seeing videos about plugins I am working at, so thanks for that :)

Posted Dec 3, 2014Oh okay that makes complete sense then. I'll have my son test it for me to make sure everything is running fine on our test server then. I forget there are some things you just can't fully test out as an admin.
Edit: everything is working fine, even when I try it so long as the shopkeeper is linked to a chest. I really love this plugin. ^_^ It great, thank you so much for this!

I just tested it and it works just fine for me. Note that only player shops return the shop creation item. Admin shops don't.

Posted Dec 3, 2014Using 1.3 and 1.29 on Spigot 1.8 doesn't return a spawn creation item when the shopkeeper is fired - even though this is set to true in the config file. Is there something I'm doing wrong and need to change?
