Shopkeepers

Set up custom villager shopkeepers that sell exactly what you want them to sell and for what price. You can set up admin shops, which have infinite supply, and you can also set up player shops, which pull supply from a chest.
It will also prevent any other trades with non-shopkeeper villagers, if you want it to.
For those who are simply looking for a convenient way to modify the trades of vanilla villagers (as an alternative to using complex Minecraft commands), the plugin also includes a graphical editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
Basic Features
- Easily create villager shopkeepers that trade the items you want them to trade.
- Admins shops with infinite supplies.
- Player shops which pull supplies from a chest.
- Different types of player shops: selling, buying, trading, and selling books.
- Various supported mob types to represent your shopkeeper, sign shops, and Citizens (NPC) shops.
- Editor for regular villagers and wandering traders.
- Many configuration options.
- Translatable messages.
- Open source (Source code on GitHub)
Supported server versions
Shopkeepers supports the latest versions of Bukkit / Spigot.
Note that this plugin is created to work with CraftBukkit (or alternatively Spigot). Bukkit does not have an API for some of the things necessary to make this plugin work. This means that other server software (Tekkit, Forge, Cauldron, etc.) will not work with this plugin.
Other CraftBukkit or Spigot derivatives/forks might work, but are not officially supported. So if you run into issues while using those, try to reproduce your issue on a fresh and up-to-date Spigot server first.

Statistics
This plugin uses bStats to collect anonymous plugin usage statistics. This helps me to determine how many servers are using the plugin, which Minecraft versions it is used with the most, and to which degree the different features are used.
Here is a list of all currently tracked information:
- Common information: The number of servers using the plugin, the number of players on these servers, online mode, Minecraft version, plugin version, core count, system arch, operating system, server country, Java version.
- Shopkeepers specific information: Whether specific related plugins are used (Citizens, Towny, WorldGuard, Gringotts, other Vault economy plugins), number of shops, whether player shops are used, whether certain features are enabled in the config (ex. WorldGuard/Towny compatibility, Citizens shops, delayed saves, colored names, chest protection, removal of inactive shops, tax rate, strict item comparison, purchase logging, disabling of other villagers, ..), the number of worlds containing shops.
- All information can be publicly viewed here: https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Shopkeepers/
If you want to disable bStats for all plugins on your server, edit the file plugins/bStats/config.yml, or alternatively disable it only for Shopkeepers by setting 'enable-metrics' to 'false' inside the Shopkeepers config.

How does it not work with buycraft? I don't see how the two would interfere with each other.
@semirotta
Buycraft is far from "poo".

Posted Jul 22, 2013I love everything about this plugin and I have very few problems with it, but there is one feature that I do not really like and I'm not sure if there's a way to change it myself or if its built into the plugin and it is not toggleable. I do not like that players cannot sell books written by other people in their book shops. As of now, the only books you can sell in a book shop you made are books written yourself. I'll continue checking over stuff to make sure I didn't miss anything. I would also like to thank you for such an awesome plugin! Keep up the great work! :D

Posted Jul 21, 2013In one of the video guides, the guy is able to set his own price for his wares, such as 10 stone blocks for 5 torches. I see a place in the config file for currency item/value, and I made some changes to those, but I don't understand their purpose. How can I allow players to choose their own currencies?

Much to fix still :) but the latest 1.6.2 version 1.14.2 works.
THOUGHT, shopkeepers sometimes duplicate and turns into normal villagers (the shops are still there but just spawns villager with the shop name) and the color codes are not working .

Perhaps some personal preference. Still, I think that all depends on what you want to accomplish with the plugin. You are the author, so I guess you want to choose that. For me, it was making simple and vanilla-feel shops.

I have NO IDEA what you mean by changing the encoding...All other plugins work with color codes, this plugin is the only one that has issues with them and even this worked in 1.5.2 (home hosted serv instead of pytohost)

I don't feel like this plugin is that complicated. I also think that a lot of your suggestions aren't really simplifications at all, but are instead just your own preferences.
I don't think the selection system is that complicated. Right click on chest, right click on ground. It's not hard. If you do it wrong, it even tells you what you forgot to do. If you don't like the various shopkeeper types, you can just disable them. Leave the trading shopkeeper and disable the rest. Though the trading shopkeeper is definitely the least intuitive to use.
I don't plan on removing the option to rename the shop from the interface. It's very simple, don't try to claim otherwise. I do think that adding support for nametags is a good idea though.
Requiring players to use their own items to set costs is, in my opinion, less intuitive. It doesn't make sense to require this. The click to change quantity system is not complicated. All it takes is a click or two to realize what is going on.
I also much prefer having an actual chest to back the shop. I think it makes more sense to have the items actually exist in the world. This is not a matter of simplicity either, this is clearly just a preference thing. One of the major reasons for this is that if this plugin were to crash, a virtual stock would be lost. Items in a chest would still exist, so players wouldn't lose their stuff. Another advantage to the way it is now, is you can currently attach multiple shopkeepers to the same chest, which can be convenient.
I'll also look into adding an option to allow players to change the shopkeeper type. That seems like a good idea as well.
The thing is, you claim it's to complex for the average user, and that you'd have to have an entire room devoted to explaining how it works. However, I really don't think these changes would really change that, you'd still need to explain how it works, it would just be different.
@semirotta
I have not seen the color code issue you seem to be having. Have you tried changing the encoding like I suggested? You are also welcome to try the latest version, but I haven't made any changes that would affect color codes.

I think its really simple :) Sorry if i was saying something insulting didnt mean it that way, anyway my point is: its really simple if you read the stuff couple times ( perhaps one time is enough ) i learned this really easily and i usually dont learn plugins easily :D since my english is not that great.

No, not at all.
I just think that this plugin is too complicated for the average user to understand. If I wanted to teach players on a server, it would take a whole demonstration room.
I like the idea behind this plugin, but it is just too complicated.
As for the anvil button, I didn't say remove naming. I said remove the button and let players name them with name tags or naming the egg.
I just would love to see this simplified.

You are just one of those guys who doesn't bother learning how to use plugin and want everything done for you instantly ready?
I don't know how this plugin works in normal player use because I only use this as a admin shop (public for every player to use, sell and buy items) and only thing I don't like is the missing color code support, duplicating villagers and not enough room for items :D
The anvil thing is because not everyone wants the shop to be named "PLAYER's Shop", people might want to re-name them? I use "Blacksmith" which has armors, weapons and then I have "Stone Mason" which sells and buys different stone types. Get the idea already?
The permission / option for change the villager type is a good idea though.
@Alfatossa
Do you have vault installed?
