Glad you like the ideas. Regarding the magic ideas, I noticed you said that you don't want like plain ol' snowball/fireball spells. This is understandable, and I have a PERFECT idea that will integrate Spout into the magic, as well as separate the magic in your plugin from all of the other "magic spells" plugins out there. Listen to this...
If you've ever played skyrim, you know how the spells in that game are shown as "energy balls" which you hold in your hand, then click to use the spell. What if, since we have custom blocks/items and all that, you make it so you can link spells to actual "energy" items. Players will be able to actually SEE the spell that they're going to cast in their hand. A glowing energy ball of water for a geyser spell, a molten energy ball for a volcano spell, etc. I'll use Photoshop to make a quick example of this "energy" thing I mean.
Also, to increase the customization of the plugin, you should make pre-defined spell "events" which players can link together to create their own unique spells. I'll try to find some examples of what I mean by this.
Lastly, I have my own test server which I use for testing new plugins before I put them on my own server. I'd be more than happy to let you use this server for testing out new features of this plugin. I can also help you debug if you'd like. Sadly, I have work in 10 minutes so I have to go :P

I did actually started that once, but never finished it. I will finish it because it is actually needed, the problem back then was that I had to edit the gui again, but that is not a problem anymore
The magic is indeed a great idea, also planned a while ago, but never started because I wanne do a lot with magic, not just a simple snowball trough spell or something, I have some great ideas for magic, but I would love to hear some more spell ideas.
That bank thing is a great idea, that will cuase more players to use it

Posted Jul 25, 2012I have quite a few ideas/suggestions regarding mining, magic, spells, and banks.
For mining, you should be able to limit which ores are mine-able. So the higher you get in your mining skill, the higher level ores you are able to mine. Doesn't make sense that a level 1 can mine diamond ore, and it gives incentive to level up the mining skill (besides unlocking pickaxes).
Also, for mining, is it possible to add the ability to adjust the rate at which a pickaxe mines? This will allow us to make custom picks that are even higher than diamond :D
Regarding magic and spells, I had a great idea for this whole system. A "Magic" skill should be added. Level 1 of the magic skill should get only a basic spell (maybe conjure food or something). As you do more magic spells, you level up the skill, which gives you access to other spells. I think this would be a great way to implement magic into the server, without having to actually make a "Mage" class. Players could choose to level up their magic, or level up their attack.
Lastly, the bank slot idea :D - I love how you can purchase additional slots for your bank. However, for a server like mine, people use that space up quickly, and need more room to store their stuff. You know how it says "Bank" at the top left of the banking GUI? Would it be possible to add bank TABS, where it would say "Bank1", "Bank2", etc. These would all be purchase-able.
Just some suggestions. Let me know what you think! I absolutely love this plugin and will continue to give you ideas/suggestions/bug report to help you out.

Let me know if there's anything you need help with duckdoom; I want to do whatever I can to help get this plugin to a full release. I'm planning on making a fully interactive RPG server with it :3 Already got a few friends designing custom weapon textures.

I'm afraid this version doesn't work for me either. Even pressing "L" wont open the GUI. I'll go with my earlier plan. It shows up in my plugin list, but it's as if the whole plugin doesn't work. No welcome message etc. Only the items are in the creative mode list, but even picking them up will just kick you with a .zip format error. Thanks anyway. -Danny

Yeah, I know. Git is not working on my PC either, it is throwing some error, nobody knows how to solve that. I don't care, maybe I could use the new Windows Git app.
