Residence


About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

Posted May 6, 2013When someone is the owner of their residence, while selling a residence or doing the /res setowner command. It won't allow them to do anything, please help.

I offered a suggestion similar to this with Pull Request #59, but apparently it fell through the cracks. We've always patched Residence to add residence.teleport support so that it can be disabled via world-specific permissions. For us the need was to disable teleportation in The End so that players come prepared and are serious about killing the dragon.

Great Work you have done so far with this plugin. Ive figured most of it out and linked it somehow to zpermissions with Vault. Now, ive ran into a little problem.
Ive created a subzone called Field01 inside residence Forest. Now i want my zpermissions group Lumberjack only to have use/door (for the fence gate) in Forest but i want the group only to have build rights inside Field01.
Ive tried using the following command: /resadmin gset Forest Lumberjack use true /resadmin gset Forest zpermissions.Lumberjack use true but each it returns "Invalid Group". Ive also tried residence.forest.use true in my Group permissions.
How do i link zpermissions Groups to only use certain subzones/residences?
If you need any more Intel, let me know and i will see what i can do. Thank you in advance.

Posted Apr 20, 2013All of my savefiles for the previous (1.4.7) version of Residence aren't being read by the new version. It complains with "[Residence] Unable to reload save file, exception occured! null"
I checked them against the yml parse too and there's no error.
Did the save format change? If so, what changed because i would rather fix the file than have to remake all the protections.

for example: default: 3 residences vip: 5 residences etc....

Posted Apr 20, 2013i use permissionex and residence but when i go into the server the players with admin rights (without op) with the permission bukkit.command.kick in the list can't kick. they get the message that they haven't the permission. looked in the config and i cant find anything

I did drop this and started using 2 plugins, Residence for every world and you need to earn cash and buy land, and PlotMe as a word for players that just did join server, but true, i could create ticket, and when that would be possible than i could add simple addon and replace PlotME with Residence on that plotworlds :)

You can just give cash to that player, because it can't be done from config and even it's almost impossible to make that as addon (i had the same thing in mind, but could get any peace of code to hook into as addon, needed to copy/rewrite half of residence code in addon)
And simple "add player money just before buy" i also no good solution, only waiting for modular Residence do come :)

I've sorted the flags, I completely forgot you had to use '/resadmin' :/ Sorry!
AdminOp's was already set as true, however I think I've worked out that after every server reload, Admins cannot access any residences but if they re-log then they can, this is a much smaller problem compared to my original problems, it is just an inconvenience, but thanks for all your support so far, and for putting up with me ;)
