Residence


About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

- Dynmap Residence - Dynmap plugin that shows residences on the webmap.

Posted Jun 23, 2012I've a problem with creating groups in config. I read config section on wiki 10th times, was trying in 3 different ways, and I still can't make a few existing groups. I'm 100% sure that there is no tabs or something, what might pertrub YML syntax. Every time I'm trying, the config file resets.
Can u explain how to do it in simple words?

"maximum number of physical areas" is what it says ;)
Area is a defined cuboid (group of blocks) defined by 2 points (coordinates) in minecraft world.
Every residence has at last 1 area called "main" , but you can create more and they don't event need to be next to each other.

While inside of residence try:
/res area list [residence] - list areas within a residence
/res area listall [residence] - list areas and their coordinates for a residence
/res area [add/remove/replace] <residence> [areaID] - Add or remove areas to the residence. These can overlap with areas of the same residence.

Ok, thanks for clarifying the build flag. What about setting multiple users or multiple flags per user? If this is not possible, I would like to request it as a feature. In WorldGuard, I can add multiple members to a zone with the command /rg addmember <zone> <member1> <member2> <member3>.

Posted Jun 22, 2012Hi there, I know my situation may be rather rare, but this plugin is awesome and I need it to protect against all the griefing we are experiencing. However most people like to go underground and make it their home, and I have absolutely no idea how to claim irregular shaped underground houses without making a whole bunch of areas and making my players rage quit. Is there a possible solution? Thanks!

Build is a flag that contain place and destroy, so if you want someone to disallow placing and destroying you setting build false, and the opposite way
And in world config you set build: false but place and destroy don't set at all. You set them only if you want go give someone only place or destroy.

Posted Jun 20, 2012Hi, I've got an issue with residence. I would like to forbid creation of residences by player but allow creation of subzone when i give a residence to a player. I'm stucked, I've been trying everything but that doesn't work.
I've put cancreate on true 'cause if i don't, they aren't allowed to create subzones. And because I've put cancreate on true, they're allowed to create residences (but i don't want that ). So I put 0 in the number max of residences, so they can't create one. But then, they are not allowed to buy someone else a subzone because they've reached max number of residences. I'm really stucked. I don't konw how to allow them to create just subzone in their residence i give to them (I don't want them to create residences). Thanks for helping me and sorry for my english (I'm french :D)
