PvP+

PvP+ is going inactive for Minecraft 1.2. It was too inefficient to maintain with good conscience, look soon for a new plugin which I'll call Pyraespawn+. I'm currently making it, it will have interesting respawning capabilities.
PvP+ is the successor of my other not very well-known plugin called SimpleRespawn. PvP+ hugely changes the Minecraft system of inventory, respawning, and PvP.
BukkitDev build may not be updated to the latest version.
Recommended update:
In Version 3.3.3 (Saturday, November 26, 2011)
Switched to SuperPerms, see below for nodes.
Updated to the newest version of Factions.
Latest direct build: PvP+ v3.3.3_02 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34015459/PvP%2B.jar
Respawning:
PvP+ allows you to set a graveyard location (or a Faction-specific one, PvP+ implements factions EXPERIMENTALLY if you set it to do so in the config) where players respawn after dying from PvP, then after waiting a configurable amount of time, they will be teleported back to their death location, like a Res timer; or not at all if the config is set for no respawning.
Inventory:
PvP+ contains an extensive modification of the handling of players inventory. On death, players will no longer drop items, instead they are saved and given back to them when they respawn from the graveyard. This eliminates item stealing in PvP, if you don't like that on your specific server.
PvP:
PvP+ allows you to loot players on death for PvP Rating, by clicking a block in the area near a corpse within six seconds after killing the player. Rewards can be bought depending on your amount of PvP Rating. Dying resets it to 0.
Commands:
/pvp - version info
/pvp setgy - sets universal gy
/pvp setfgy - sets faction-specific gy
/pvp setwgy - sets world-specifig gy
/pvp rewards - shows pvp rewards from config
/pvp refresh - refresh inventory files for the command sender
/pvp refreshall - refresh inventory data files for all players
/pvp updateinventory - forces an inventory update in case something went wrong while respawning and you didn't get your items

/pvp setrating PlayerName Amount - sets a players rating to an amount
/pvp duel Player Player Arena - starts a duel
/pvp arena new Name - make an arena
/pvp arena delete Name - delete an arena

/pvp break - break infinite death cycle (Deprecated)
/pvp forceunbreak - unbreak death cycle, if needed (Deprecated)
/pvp team - See the teams you're in
/pvp team new Size - Make a new team
/pvp join - Join a recruiting team
/pvp team list - See all teams
/pvp team delete Size - Delete a team of the size
/pvp team add Size Player - Add a member to your team
/pvp team kick Size Player - Kick a member from your team
/pvp help - Extensive help for all commands!
/pvp buy Item - allows you to buy an item:
DEFAULT PvP REWARDS:
diamond (costs 5 kills)
ironsword (costs 8 kills)
diamondsword (costs 12 kills)
food (costs 1 kill)
arrowstack (costs 5 kills)
bow (costs 3 kills)
ironset (costs 15 kills)
diamondset (costs 28 kills)
How to Customize them:
You may add as many custom nodes as you like to the config file, in this format:
pvpRewards: - ITEM_NAME&price&stackSize
so selling one stack of cobble for 3 points would be:
pvpRewards: - COBBLESTONE&3&64
video coming not very soon to explain, until then, watch this: http://www.youtube.com/user/NerdyCast#p/u/0/IOWgRdEayY4
Permissions nodes:

@Deprecated
pvpplus.refresh

Posted Oct 24, 2011ie, turn off automatic respawn.
When a person dies, they are automatically taken to where they died. Any way to make that optional? So we can control if maybe they walk back, or use alternate ways to return to their body.

Posted Oct 21, 2011And those pvp rewards were quickly thrown together, they are fully configurable if you dont value the nice-ness of a good stick :D! Anyways, I hope the & regex system isn't too confusing, I've had some players on my server try to include it in the actual command.

Posted Oct 21, 2011Oh I just added the stems for a capture the flag addition, there are some team making commands, but I haven't succeeded in efficiently doing this such that I can release a team version yet.

Posted Oct 21, 2011What other features did you add? Did you take any of my other suggestions? I haven't been able to re-install it, and I wanted to see how it has gone.

Posted Oct 20, 2011The items sold don't make sense.. 1 diamond = 5 kills but diamond sword 12.. How much does the goddamned stick cost? xD Nice plugin anyways, but could be abused if players feeded someone for free items. You could add a configurable feature to be able to get a set amount of pvp rating from one player in a set amount of time.

As long as this means items drop like normal on death i'm all for this plugin. I just run a war server were I want people to fight and loot eachother but them being rewarded for doing so with specific items is great.

Posted Oct 19, 2011I have worked out most of the bugs, I have saved items on death in a new way now, it was unreliable before, but now it seems to be 100% reliable, its mroe efficient too :) I'm sorry for the previous version's errors. @Zombiemold @ace1177 @fatmarley

Posted Oct 18, 2011This comment has a LOT of potential, and I am really excited I found it. However it needs a few options in order to become much more usable.
1: Option to set auto-respawning to off, and allow for something like /back to go back to your corpse.
2: Option to return your inventory when spawning at a graveyard, and not after you return to a death location, which will NEED to be activated with the above option.
3: Turn off messages for PvE deaths, or off entirely.
As it stands, it is too easy to get into infinite death loops, and the way you have it setup currently, to break those cycles, causes players to lose their inventory...
Additionally, the PvP spam on death, confuses players, especially with plugins like Hero Death or some such.

Posted Oct 1, 2011Any chance that item dropping can be a toggle in config? I like the plugin but I still want items to drop on death.

Posted Sep 29, 2011This is fully customizable? I would like to make my graveyard another world that i have that is apocalyptic in style and I would like to have the items drop on death...?
I had a great idea for a modification along that line, but I'm not sure if you have already decided a direction for this plugin to go in? MOST developers are real touchy about offering modifications, so If you are willing to hear....

Posted Sep 28, 2011It's a neat idea, but after dying twice and losing everything (it doesn't drop and isn't returned) it just isn't safe enough to be used seriously.
