OtherDrops

Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).

Posted Feb 28, 2013Because creature equipment is a very new feature the format might still change again - please refer to the 2.8 beta features link at the top of the page for the latest details. I'll try and keep the basic examples page updated too.
I'm thinking of making the format like so: skeleton@head;pumpkin;0%!!hands;diamondsword@damage_all#1MySword;20% (20% chance to drop the enchanted diamondsword).
Or even
Benefits are that it feels easier to type to me (no need for holding the shift on the colons) and the colon was causing issues if the drop is used inside a [ ] list of drops.

You still didn't confirm what version you are running - what version does it say in the console when you start up?

Yup, that was part of the problem, the command Faldonboy gave me works now but zombies still don't actually spawn with the equipped items.

Can you confirm what version you're using? If /odd is still for disabling OtherDrops I suspect the version you have doesn't support mob equipment either.
Try updating to the latest version and let me know how that goes?

It says otherdrops is disabled O_o
Apperently, /odd stands for otherdrops disable
Btw, Im running a fresh install
Even if I try out the example im using as a reference(from 'basic examples') it doesnt work and only spawns a skeleton that drops skeletons.
I took out the chance and biome parts

action: MOBSPAWN also works, the underscore isn't required.
@ZeroAme
try using /odd zombie@!!eq:head:leather_helmet and see if that works, if it does then something in your zombie config is probably wrong. Also try adding the !! separators to your config(they aren't required but there may be some kind of bug.)

Posted Feb 28, 2013I can't seem to figure out how to spawn a mob with equipment attached? This is what I have in my config.
ZOMBIE: - action: MOBSPAWN zombie@eq:head:leather_helm
Also tried..
ZOMBIE: - action: MOBSPAWN drop: zombie@eq:head:leather_helm
But the last 1 just made it so when a zombie died it droped another zombie

You can add a custom drop chance to the eq. Although a few people have asked so I might look into adding an option to change the default custom eq drop chance. Damaged swords are possible too. eg.
Means drop the sword with drop chance of 30 percent and 500 durability ( check mine craft wiki for durability values of each tool.

And could i spawn a mob with a damaged sword ?
Thank you. NJ.

That should already work fine. Any drop can trigger a command and as long as your server has the command available it should go through just fine. See the plugin examples page for examples similar to what you're trying to do.
