OtherDrops

Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).

That's because higher-than-default health just reverts to default health. So if you're creating a dragon with 300 health, it will actually be 200; therefore your ENDER_DRAGON@300 configuration will not work.
EDIT: Oh wait... you also need to do ENDER_DRAGON@!!50 for max health (!! required)

I'm unable to edit drops for mobs that use higher-than-default hp values, lower-than-default values work though. Also, dropspread doesn't seem to be working anymore
This works
This doesn't

Cool, glad it's fixed - that's a shocking one that :D When I first got it I noticed the zombie start to move slower, stop and kinda "grow" with multiple shadows and new equipment appearing at random - actually quite cool to watch except that it locks up the server.
I'll look into some automated testing specifically for that issue to avoid it recurring in the future.

Ya, I'm using 2.8-beta5.1 still because your beta6 link was broken earlier, I'll switch to it when I get back home and test it.
EDIT: Updated and everything works fine now.

Haven't started on that yet but will keep it mind. In the meantime you should be able to use tool: [-DAMAGE_CUSTOM].
@EMOberger
Faldonboy's correct, mobs have a chance to drop their eq in vanilla bukkit for me (not sure about mine craft itself). I'll look into allowing you to change just the drop chance (ie. Leaving default eq)

Posted Feb 26, 2013@Faldonboy The entities created by the /odd command are affected by your configurations, which I'm guessing are creating a loop (I had the same problem with entity_primed_tnt riding a zombie... wasn't pretty lol).

Posted Feb 26, 2013/odd ZOMBIE@BABY^SPIDER produces ONE of those and then 400 baby zombies a silverfish for me ._. This produced what I believe to be the biggest error in Minecraft history(really it appears as if it just spammed the error once for every baby zombie it spawned)... This error
Also, trying to use mobs riding mobs as a drop doesn't work at all(it just spawns the original mob) No errors are showing for this - 2.8-beta5.1

Posted Feb 26, 2013Having this error frequently pop up when players are using Mob Arena.
@EMOberger
Mobs in vanilla minecraft DO drop their equipment, its just rare. Having a sword with a high looting enchantment helps force them to drop those things.

Looks like an excellent update, but that file is not available :( Also don't wanna bother making a ticket if you're already working on this, but have you looked into having an OTHERDROPS tool? Only reason I want it is because I'm using Faldonboy's Pokeball setup, which basically makes infinite animal drops as long as you have eggs to re-catch them.

I think you misunderstood me.
When a mob is spawned naturally it has a chance to spawn with some items or equips, like a zombie some times spawns with an iron sword. I need it so that item will drop when it is killed because in vanilla minecraft that doesn't happen.

Should do it automatically, as long as you don't use drop: NOTHING (which will clear item, XP and equipment drops).

Posted Feb 25, 2013Just a little confused.
With the newest version 2.8beta5.1 I can now have mobs drop what they are spawned with? How do I do that, if it's yet possible?

Hmm, it seems that configs for any mob that uses higher than default hp isn't working for me. But the error I posted earlier only happens if the target is an ender_dragon.

sorry! this error was supposed to be in that message, it displays whenever the dragon with 150 hp dies. Normal dragons still work with drop: NOTHING and still drop the things I have defined. Its just the dragons with modified HP that don't work.

Did it work in the previous beta version? I'm gonna sit down tonight and go through the drop: DENY/NOTHING/DEFAULT settings and try to make the code more robust as well as add NOITEMS, NOXP, NOEQ options for more customisation.
I really want to get those working well before releasing 2.8 (release version).
