OtherDrops

Make anything drop anything, anyhow!
Minecraft 1.7 features (click)!!
OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Help Wanted
Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.
Thanks
Many thanks to these people who helped with OtherDrops:
- Cyklo: creator of the original OtherBlocks. OtherDrops is a continuation of Cyklo's original OtherBlocks (2011) plugin.
- Celtic Minstrel: many code commits and a major overhaul of the code moving into version 2.0. Moved on to create DropFactory.
- Rofang: major update of OtherDrops documentation.
- RugRats13: lots of testing and some documentation.
- Faldonboy & Steelsouls: currently maintaining and improving the documentation.
- CommodoreAlpha: community support on the comments/forum, assisting with documentation.
Many long nights are spent improving OtherDrops so if you like it please consider a donation to my coffee fund :)
- OtherDrops uses Metrics for anonymous usage stats (learn more).

I didn't even know about that flag, I'm not lying when I say this, but this is actually one of the most high quality plugins I've ever seen.

That's by design (as most people don't want their drops appearing in the arena) - you can force an arena drop using "flags: IN_MOB_ARENA". eg.:
I'll look into writing a page on plugin compatibilities to make this info easier to find.

Posted Jan 31, 2013I think there might be a compatibility issue with this plugin and mobarena, I can't get the mobs in mobarena to drop the custom drops.

Sounds good. I feel like they're a really good mob to fight, and they get overlooked so much. Their speed makes them so dangerous. x_x

Can you clarify what you expected to happen with the carrot config and what actually happened for you? Perhaps you wanted to drop CARROT_ITEM rather than the CARROT (plant)?

You need the version for Java 6 - Link Removed: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?aymdwpysaou8ziv (also listed on the 2.7 download page). New versions will be built for Java 6.
@Jaarmitage
Gah, silly me - left me debug messages without a verbosity setting, sorry. Can't fix it at the moment (actually, I think I'll try and make all debug messages default to normal verbosity) - will fix for next version (soon).
@F4BSE
Will check it out.
@jwmpine
Hmm, sorry - think I went down the wrong track and I'll have to reword that message. I believe it has nothing to do with "moneydrop" it's just saying that a "money" drop was configured but it couldn't find the economy plugin. MoneyDrop is not needed, and I've tested it with Vault locally (alongside Essentials) and it worked so I'll still need to see the OtherDrops startup server log messages.

Posted Jan 26, 2013If I set a lorename condition for an item, any time that item gets used regardless of whether or not it matches the lorename condition results in the log getting hit with checks. For instance:
15:09:54 [INFO] [OtherDrops:2.7] Checking for lorename condition...== (any name I use) 15:09:54 [INFO] [OtherDrops:2.7] tool name = IRON_SWORD
It does this for other types of swords as well. None of my other drop groups does this. I set verbosity to low in the config but I gather that only affects the startup output. Anything I should check or set?

Potions are tricky as there's not an ID for each, it's based on data values.
Healing potion should be POTION@8197 - check this minecraftwiki page for all the datavalues.
@Cultist_O
Yeah, that's a tricky one I'll need to think about now that mobs wear equipment and pick stuff up. "drop: default" will at least let them act as normal (although you get the default drop as well). I'll look into "drop: equipment" and "drop: holding" or something like that.

Posted Jan 26, 2013It seems that by default, drops override the possibility of a mob dropping its equipment. Is there any way to specify the equipment drop? If not, I'm not sure the best way for you to implement this, as in vanilla each piece of equipment is "rolled for" separately, and things they have picked up are always dropped.
I was also wondering whether looting affects the number or chance of custom drops by default, and if there is any way to control this behaviour. (without specifying a new drop for each level of looting, which would be tedious (especially since ANY_<TOOL>@!LOOT_BONUS_MOBS does not work as expected yet.))
Thanks again!

Posted Jan 25, 2013Would you mind adding suppport for ID's because i cant make a healing potion drop from zombies/skeletons because i dont know the damn name for it, id's can be simpler sometimes.
