Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Dec 7, 2012some of my players that have higher-latency connections report seeing the obfuscated blocks. I'm currently set with UpdateRadius:2, InitialRadius:2. Which setting would help to prevent this?

Posted Dec 7, 2012Seems like this plugin's having a lot of lag comments... Ill try to test this on my server. It wasn't lagging before I shut mine down though, and i had 1GB ram Core2Duo 2GHz cpu shared between a tekkit 1.2.5R4.1 and bukkit 1.4.5R0.2 server (orebfuscator 1.4.3)... Have you changed anything recently lishid?
Sad for Tekkit though, guess I'll have to find another anti-xray.

I'm at work right now. But I'll be home in about an hour. I'll get on then, and send you a pm. Should I install lagmeter before you get on?

Unfortunately I disabled the plugin as I have an average of 70 players online and I can't really afford to have the lag. Maybe alanthya can help you with that :l

Could either of you let me login to your server while the lag starts to happen?

Posted Dec 7, 2012I have not installed NoLagg. I currently disabled Orebfuscator as I do not exactly know when the lag starts.
What I can say is that it is usually after about 5-6 hours as alanthya mentioned already. Unfortunately my server host doesn't allow me to see the actual RAM/CPU usage, but with 8gb of ram and a intel i5 cpu the server should be able to hold the plugin.
A /reload seems to fix the issue until a certain amount of time passed again and the server gets the problems.

I'll check the TPS when I have time to get home and install the plugin.

Ok... Have you checked TPS with lagmeter or anything? It's possible that the minecraft server's main thread is running on a core on 100% while the other cores are free, in which case it means that something is taxing the server CPU on the minecraft's server main thread, which would cause server lag and TPS issues.

Posted Dec 7, 2012I would have to lean more towards TPS/Bandwidth issues. Can't really say it's due to over taxing the CPU. I run an 8 core processor that hardly ever sees usage over 25%. Also I've never used NoLagg. Always heard it's a trouble maker.

Hmm so there is lag after a long period... What kind of lag specifically? TPS problems? what about the CPU usage?
@abalabahaha
Sorry, I no longer update older versions...

In testing, I reverted to Bukkit 2504 this morning to avoid problems with EntityChangeBlockEvent and plugins that haven't updated for it, and found by accident that my packet compression numbers are back to normal. I don't see any changes in recent builds that would affect packet compression, so now I'm even more confused. :)

Posted Dec 7, 2012Having the same issue as Serilum. Seems to happen after about 5-6 hours of uptime. Memory usage is still fine at that point. The host pc usually idles at 9% memory usage. When initally starting the server, memory goes to 11-12%, then after a couple hours it hovers around 25-30%. I was stress testing the server the last two days and left it running without a reload for about 36 hours. When I finally decided to reload, memory usage was at 42%. I was getting a lot of complaints about lag after the 20 hour point. Ran on a 32gb machine, with 16gb dedicated to bukkit. I thought you made some modifications to reduce bandwidth usage but my server still caps out it's upload speed at 6Mbps when someone logs in/warps. Was this removed in your release build? :(
On a side note, this isn't necessarily a new issue because it was like this even with older versions of OFC. When a player is mining, newly uncovered blocks will appear as one of the scrambler blocks listed to be used in engine mode 2 until they hit it. I don't use engine mode 1 because players can still xray when using that mode. Is there an adjustment to prevent newly exposed blocks from appearing as a scrambled block?

Posted Dec 7, 2012For some reason the latest version is causing my server to bug out after a certain amount of time and everyone starts having unbearable lag and are falling through the void.
Not sure if there is another memory leak, or that it is a combination with some of my plugins

Ah I see, thanks. I'll go back thru the comments and see if i can find the link for it. I was starting to think it was ProtocolLib because it says: "Plugins that appear to be compatible
NoLagg - you may have to disable bufferedLoader. " on the compat list.
Edit: Found it, updated it, reenabled bufferedLoader and all works fine. Thanks for informing me of that nolagg update I failed to notice lol.
