Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

You probably have some other plugin interfering with Orebfuscator causing that. Make sure you reboot the server, and not just /reload

wait... free as in java free or system free? Java's VM will keep taking more and more memory from the system, but it will have free memory within the VM... How are you measuring free memory?
@flatbmx
It is slightly bigger in terms of packet size, but I use an algorithm that's fairly linear and compression still takes down a big part of it and you get a small packet left. Also, Orebfuscator compresses the packet more (level 9 compression vs level 6) than CraftBukkit does, which should help with the bandwidth.
The chunk holes are caused by a minecraft client bug and will appear on servers without Orebfuscator too. I had that issue on pretty much all the servers I go to one day, then another day it was gone... weird.

By bigger size i meant less compressed since i thought that minecraft chunks were sent compressed and then uncompressed and handled client-side. Also when chunks are loading client-side you can see the obfuscated ores near the surface until the chunk is fully loaded. example being this:

What do you mean? Did something happen when you updated? (Did you clearcache, and try resetting the config?)

ProximityHider by default hides Diamonds and Emerald when exposed to air. Though it will lag considerably more if ProximityHider is turned on for all other ores exposed to caves since it becomes a lot of blocks to go through every once in a while.
Engine 2 doesn't cause client problems ... It's the same sized chunk, just different contents. Ores will only be drawn IF the player has a hacked client running xray. Otherwise, block-faces that are hidden will not be considered for drawing.

I know how engine 2 works compared to 1, makes sense that it doesn't hide the cave ores. You could implement a proximity hiding system that will hide the ores that are in caves until someone is close. However I take it that will not be done. Also i was wondering if engine 2 would cause clients more fps issues since it has to handle bigger chunk sizes and ores that may have to be drawn on the screen?

Engine 1 by design doesn't hide ores exposed to caves, nor does Engine 2. But Engine 2 puts so much ore that people don't know which is real.
@Aragoth1337
If you're not running 1.7.6, maybe it is Orebfuscator. If you are running 1.7.6 though, I highly doubt it is Orebfuscator since it has a much reduced memory usage than previous versions.

Engine mode 1 will show the ores that are visible, like Engine mode 2. The difference is that the mode 2 confuses and sometimes it block the view to those blocks.
If you want that Engine mode 1 don't show any blocks you should configure proximity hidder properly to hide diamond blocks at least or the rest of the ore blocks (the more you hide, the more cpu it will consume). Or you could also configure darkness ofuscation.

Yes, the new queue ensures entities and tile-entities are sent in the correct order.
@ha11oga11o
Engine mode 1 do leave some ores exposed switch to engine 2 with the new version to test?
@Mortalsinn
That's weird, is that on 1.7.6? Can I come to your server for some testing?
@bergerkiller
Thanks!
