Orebfuscator
Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:
For all releases of 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x: Version 4.4.3
Now with support for CraftBukkit 1.9/1.9.1/1.9.2/1.9.4/1.10/1.11/1.12.x/1.13.x!
This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

Posted Dec 4, 2012For me this one is not working at all on engine 1.
R: Orebfuscator 1.7.6 for CB 1.4.5-R0.2 12 hours ago
I did ofc clearcache, 3 times reboot server... nada, ores are there on new and old part of the map. So i just reverted to older ofc.jar and all is ok, but bandwidth is heavy. But so far manageable for this server.
Waiting fix :O)
Cheers:)

ProtocolLib was slightly buggy back when it was first introduced (Although it is working very well now). It was also controversial as to whether it impacts performance or not (over time it proved to be quite optimized and not impacting speed at all).
Another reason why it's not a hard requirement is that many people dislike plugins having multiple jar files, and bukkitdev does not allow uploading zip files. I'd have to ask people to get ProtocolLib on the file download page, but some people don't actually read.
Also, my plugin can handle it well enough even without ProtocolLib.

This is a quote from Lishid that was a few pages back:
"Earlier versions of the plugin uses ProtocolLib to help manage some packet instructions but the 1.7+ versions now uses a different queue that ProtocolLib does not touch anyways, so if not necessary, then you don't really need it.For now that is."

Posted Dec 3, 2012Is this now fairly stable with protocol lib? Many weeks/months ago when protocol lib support was added, I didn't use it because orebfuscator worked fine for me without it and there were a lot of comments indicating it caused problems. I haven't seen any of that lately.
If it is stable, what advantages are there with using it with protocol lib?
And I'm curious, why isn't protocol lib a hard requirement, as opposed to optional?
Thanks.

Posted Dec 3, 2012Memory usage seems a lot higher than with 1.7.4. Current uptime is 2 hours and I am seeing 719.0MB/12061.0MB (5%) free. It fluctuates between 1200mb and 100mb free with around 50 players online.
Edit: Memory usage has now returned back to normal without a restart. I will keep an eye on this and see if I notice it again. I may have just assumed it was Orebfuscator because of the update. As of now I am at 8858.0MB/12131.0MB (73%) free and it has been hanging around there for the past 10 minutes. I will report back with anymore information.

If you're having trouble with cache taking memory, you could disable caching.
@MutinyCraft
Yes, that was a debug message only popping up on startup.

Posted Dec 3, 2012With 1.7.6 I'm Seeing 7 of these messages "[INFO] §b[OFC] Creating new Processing Threads" on server startup. Is this normal or should I only see one of these?
1.7.6 seems to be working much better than 1.7.4 was working. Running constant 20 TPS with 50-60 online. 1.7.4 would fluctuate from 18 TPS to 20 TPS (I know that is still pretty good).

Use latest version (1.7.6) which fixes out of memory problems.
EDIT: And please remove all that blob from the comment. Remember to pastebin large blobs of text on bukkitdev.

So far in the last hour and a half, memory usage went from 10% to 15%. I'd say that's probably due to the map caching. Working good so far! :)
