Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:

This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

DOWNLOAD
Please read compatibility information before downloading as not all releases work with all versions of CraftBukkit.
Latest version should be on BukkitDev, or as a release on the Github page: https://github.com/lishid/Orebfuscator/releases
Please also download ProtocolLib and install it in the plugins folder.
- Is compatible only with version 4.0.0 or newer.
- For 1.9.4 support, you must use build 277 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.10 support, you must use build 293 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.11 support, please use latest stable builds of ProtocolLib for 1.11.

Features
- Advanced algorithm that hides ore, chest and and anything you specify in the configuration
- Spout compatible, but optional
- No modifications to CraftBukkit.jar is needed

Usage
Install:
- Copy "orebfuscator-4.4.3.jar" to your plugins folder
- If you're upgrading from Orebfuscator.jar, move the contents of the "Orebfuscator3" folder to the "Orebfuscator4" folder
- Restart your server.

Posted Aug 8, 2012Is there a way i can this plugin up so it only hides the ores that have 0 light on them? so it doesn't change every block but it leaves it open so u can see blocks in caves? (And yes i know then u can use xray in caves but i really don;t care about that part)

I'm not sure now that 1.3.1 came out and everything got updated. Haven't seen this problem in 1.2.5 though, you could try to isolate the plugins causing it if you had some time.

I'm using the latest Dev Build and using the latest version of Orebfuscator. My problem is this:
The server would show "read timed out" after 1 - 2hrs. I tested yesterday with orebfuscator off and server was running for more than 24hrs. I installed Orebfuscator and it read timed out within like 1 - 2hrs.
There was no errors in the console nothing at all... just read timed out.
Is there any plugin that is not compatible with this one? thanks a lot.

view-distance has already been at 3. I'm getting up to this and higher - World "world": 6413chunks,3394entities - I doubt this is anything to do with Orebfuscator anymore so I'll move it to another thread. thanks for the help

Well it used to have, but the NoLagg author wrote some compatibility modules and should work fine.
What I suggest is: Try reducing view-distance in your server.properties file down to like 4 or 6. See if that helps.

Posted Aug 8, 2012I switched to the stone engine mode and made some changes to reduce lag from orebfuscation, and I've determined that orebfuscator is not causing lag at all.. but, that chunks and entities are not despawning from the world at a decent rate. After being online about 30 minutes, up to 16 players (normally my server runs for hours with over 50).. I have 5000 chunks and 3500 entities. Maybe you all should look at that as a lag maker.. now the question is, how to fix it?
So my question to lishid is... does Orebfuscator have any issues with the NoLagg plugin, because I'm tempted to try that one out, but I don't want to have any conflicts.

Posted Aug 8, 2012I have the same issue. My minecraft client seen to be overload by the server. In single player i run at 35 fps, and in multiplayer at 6 fps. Then i perform /ofc disable, move my player, (chunk change ?) and my fps returns to 35. The server run about 20% of cpu with orebfuscator activated (the server is not overloaded) I think the client is overloaded with data sended by orebfuscator... is it possible ?

Orebfuscator shouldn't affect TPS... Try reducing ProcessingThreads by 1.

Remove 0 from RandomBlocks, enable AntiTexturePackAndFreecam and change AirGenMaxChance to 40. That will block freecam and xray texturepacks AND not cause too much fps drop.

7. Orebfuscator shouldn't affect TPS since it's all processed off the main chunk... Maybe something is conflicting with ofc causing the lags.

Posted Aug 8, 2012After experimenting with the settings works best EngineMode: 0 still client lag every few seconds and with time crash.
server is a powerful machine raid 0 ssd core I7 debian java 7u5 server load 0.15 procesor use 20-30% one core test old computer E8400 gts250 windows8 java7 unlock fps and 150+ OFC on serwer and freeze from time to time EngineMode: 2 there is no game, Any changes to settings do not change the state.
plugin does not lag the server, only computer client frezze/lag :D hard to enable even taskmanager to disable client minecraft

Posted Aug 8, 2012Question about threads configuration.. you say # of cores -1... so if my server has 4 cores / with 8 virtual cores- do I use 3 or 4?
Also, I am experiencing major performance hits like below, no errors though, just TPS not managing to stay at 20, which has never really been an issue before in the last 6 months.
