Orebfuscator - Anti X-RAY:

This plugin is used to counter X-RAY Client mods.
It modifies data that are sent to clients to hide blocks of your choice, such as Ore, chests, dungeons, etc.
It does not manipulate blocks in the world file, thus is safe to use.
ProximityHider is a feature that hides chests that are far from players.
As of 4.3.3, Proximity Hider has been enhanced to use line-of-sight checks, not just proximity! Upgrade today.

DOWNLOAD
Please read compatibility information before downloading as not all releases work with all versions of CraftBukkit.
Latest version should be on BukkitDev, or as a release on the Github page: https://github.com/lishid/Orebfuscator/releases
Please also download ProtocolLib and install it in the plugins folder.
- Is compatible only with version 4.0.0 or newer.
- For 1.9.4 support, you must use build 277 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.10 support, you must use build 293 or newer of Protocollib 4.0
- For 1.11 support, please use latest stable builds of ProtocolLib for 1.11.

Features
- Advanced algorithm that hides ore, chest and and anything you specify in the configuration
- Spout compatible, but optional
- No modifications to CraftBukkit.jar is needed

Usage
Install:
- Copy "orebfuscator-4.4.3.jar" to your plugins folder
- If you're upgrading from Orebfuscator.jar, move the contents of the "Orebfuscator3" folder to the "Orebfuscator4" folder
- Restart your server.

Posted Aug 8, 2012I did /ofc disable axr, /ofc clearcache, and relogged, and I'm still seeing the anti-freecam air bubbles. config.yml seems consistent. Do I have to restart the server?

I can't seem to turn off the new random air pockets thing. I'm assuming this is whats causing the huge performance hits.
How I've tested performance, is run it on one world and not another on the same server, same plugins, etc and you can clearly see how much of a performance hit this plugin is now.

it runs steady for a while, then falls to 4-5 tps.. then seems to try and catch up again, going 40+ tps... then back to 20, everyone notices lots of spiking
and im only using 2 people so far

You can't change all ore to stone because some are exposed to caves and you want players to be able to see them. This means that x-ray hackers can see occasionally diamonds exposed to caves, etc.
Also, Engine 1 does exactly what you said.

TNT doesn't get rendered so it should be left in, as it doesn't affect legal users at all.
Update radius can be reduced to 3 safely. ProcessingThreads should be number of cores you have minus one.
Using cache can be a great improvement on CPU performance.
@Pr4w
to prevent seeing fake ores, you need a lot more CPU power in order to calculate a more complicated pattern so that more stuff is shown initially.
The usual approach is setting InitialRadius to 2, though this will increase processing needed by 7 times. It means that the CPU needs to be 7 times stronger than IR=1 in order to process as fast as with IR=1.
So optimizing for player lag will in a way be more taxing on server-cpu.
To end things, this plugin doesn't affect tick and/or lag in terms of server processing.

Might be caused by another plugin. Orebfuscator only affect chunks being sent. If it's not loaded at all client-side then it might be caused by orebfuscator.

Hmm chunks disappearing is not caused by Orebfuscator.

NoLagg author told me privately that he updated the plugin with a fix for compatibility with Orebfuscator, Try updating that. Other than that, update Orebfuscator to 1.5.7.

Posted Aug 7, 2012Updated to your latest release, which was still the same one I had in there (65kb filesize) and am still having the chunk issue when ofc is enabled. Everything worked fine for about 3-4 minutes, then the chunk I was standing on despawned and I fell into the void. Config settings are as follows:
