Changes your name to newname
Permission: name.change
/rename testplayer &1win &2I&1R &cKEWL
Changes testplayer to win IR KEWL
Permission: name.other.change
/clearname
Resets your name
Permission: name.clear

So you're saying you can change the tablist name and overhead name but only in the config? Or you can't do it at all and you won't add it at all...?

I will most likely not add a option to change the overheadname, to change the tablistname there is a option in the config

Posted Oct 30, 2012thx für your mod. the chat-name is changed, but not the name in the tab-list & the name above the head :( so i have to use another mod in combination with your´s... will your mod be able to make all 3 things(tablistname, chatname, aboveheadname) in future?

Posted Sep 14, 2012I'm having issues, my name doesn't change, but other people's name changes, I am the server owner. and it seems my name doesn't change for any plugin at all.
essential's name change is set to false. thanks if you can assist

The name changes in both the chat and the player list (playerlist is configurable)
As far as i know, if the plugin that keeps a list of spells is well made, it should use name and not displayname, so it should be fine

Posted Aug 20, 2012If I used this, would it conflict with plugins that for example kept a list of spells that you could use? I suspect there would be a problem with someone trying to access their spells or even a book they've written in 1.3.1/2 if they change their name. Have you, or do you know if someone else has, tested for this?
Edit: Also, does the name change in chat and/or player list?

This plugin does not alter the name over the players head, as for the tab-list I'm not sure.
Tho I would suggest updating permissions to a more recent version

Posted Jul 30, 2012Hiya, Great plugin. I'm running a 1.2.5 R5.0 bukkit server with permissions 1.6 and commandbook 2.1. How's the integration of namechanger with the above two plugins as opposed to essentials? Namely, I have the chat name showing the new name, but the player display tag above head and tab player list show the original name. Any advice?

Posted Jul 13, 2012Not working for me doesnt show the new name in chat, the only time the nick shows up in chat is when the user goes idle. Not using Essentials or iChat. I have Admincmd which does have a chat manager.
Kinda new to this plugin stuff, help would be appreciated
