Changes your name to newname
Permission: name.change
/rename testplayer &1win &2I&1R &cKEWL
Changes testplayer to win IR KEWL
Permission: name.other.change
/clearname
Resets your name
Permission: name.clear

open the config.yml file inside the plugin folder, then change the value of store-new-names from false to true

Posted Apr 3, 2013I change my name, I tried to rename and name, but whenever I go right back to the server it returns to normal. I've done everything but always comes back, and I usso BukkitGames wish my nick stay purple, and I can not always turn red (standard BukkitGames)

Considering that this plugin does not have any groups of any sort, no. Tho there migth be a custom command plugin somwhere that allows you to do that

There are 2 ways.
1. use the command to set the name back to what it was
2. remove it from the file "users.yml"

it simply changes the in-game displayname, it doesn't touch anything else ;-)

Hi, I'm Jman. I Do IT Things For My Friends. Yes, there is. You are going to need Notepad Plus Plus 1. Go Into Essentials folder in plugins 2. Right Click Config And Go To "Edit With Notepad Plus Plus" 3. You will automatically see "Display Nick" or something like that :) 4. Change it to false 5. Click "Save" 6. Done! Should Work Like A Charm :D

Posted Jan 29, 2013Is there a way you could make this over-ride how essentials changes names? I want to change just on staff name colour but i would have to turn off essentials name changing, then all my ranks are white names and i would have to manually change their colours.

If your server is on while you change the config, it will revert.

store-new-names: false change-join-msg: false show-fakes: true TAB: colors: false change: false
And every time I change a name and do what I want to do, I check the config and it has gone back to the default config settings.
I am new, please help me out.
