What is MyZ?

MyZ is not simply a Bukkit plugin. It is a complete re-imagination of Minecraft. Featuring a highly immersive new gamemode, MyZ aims to emulate and enhance a combination of DayZ and MineZ. With new mobs, items, chat features and more, MyZ has a lot to boast about and nearly endless opportunities.

Survive and prosper in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Be careful though - you'll have to pay close attention to your hunger, health, thirst, visibility and temperature. Not to mention the enhanced undead mobs and bosses. When you die - and you will die - become a zombie, or a ghost and get a second chance at surviving.

@soulscapex I've checked and re-checked foodstuffs giving potion effects and it appears to work flawlessly.

Note:

The chance ranges from 0.0 to 1.0 (eg. 0.5 is 50%, 0.01 is 1% chance)
You must put the effect name in the proper format (see this page) and note CaSe SeNsItIvE.

How exactly does the chest system work? Does it autospawn chests after i've set the things i want to be in my chests?

Data storage bug as well as chest support will take me a bit - I've been very busy and today I'm writing the SAT for the first time. I've got a school break coming up during which I can catch up on missed updates.

Hey TeeePee :) I've been thinking about the clan system in MyZ and have come up with my own little idea of how it could work. Of course this is all just a big suggestion, I wouldn't have the first clue how to programme this for a minecraft plugin like yourself. But I've tried to make it as simple and understanding as I possibly could. Let me know what you think. If something like this could one day be implemented, that would be freaking awesome xD

The Clan System

Configuration Options :

Clans: enabled || Whether or not the clan system is active
Max Member Size: 10 || How many members can a clan have (total).
Default Join Option: Closed || When a clan is created, what is it's default joining option. Closed - no one can join. Open - Anyone can join. Invite - A player must be accepted by the leader.
Clan PVP: false || Toggle whether clan members can hurt each other.

/Clan create [clan name] || Creates a new clan/

Scenario || Messages

Already in a clan || You must leave your current clan to create a new one.
Name taken || The name of this clan is currently in use.
Clan created || Congratulations, you are now the leader of, {clan name}

/Clan status [open / closed / invite] || Changes the join status of the clan/

Scenario || Messages

Leader of the clan || The status of {clan name} has successfully been changed to {new join status}

Clan Invites, how do they work? A clan leader must be online to recieve invites (Unless you can come up with some sort of inbox system.) Clan invites will last 30 seconds before being declined if ignored.

/Clan accept [player requesting join's name] || Accept a players join request and add them to the clan.

Scenario || Messages

( Upon accept, send the leader) || You have accepted the request.
( Upon accept, send the requester) || Your request has been accepted, congratulations, you are now part of the clan, {clan name}. Type "/clan info" for more information.

( Upon the deny time-out, send the leader) || The request from {requester} timed-out. It has been denied.
( Upon the deny time-out, send the requester) || Your request has been denied.

Permission

Permission : Must own clan to accept requests.

The NPC toggle is for the skeleton NPCs, not villagers.

This is how your potion effects should look: potioneffect: - SPEED

Note the new line, dash, and all caps.

I apologize for the jumbled state of the server listings on my-z.org. I don't personally have the means of running a test server, nor can I provide you with an IP to one at the moment. I'm hoping to improve the state of the server listing soon.

Include with your donation your server IP and port (if a public server) as well as your server name or your own Minecraft username (case sensitive) if you would like some sort of recognition for your support! No amount is too small.

Example:

Donation: 0.99 CAD Server IP: 172.0.0.1:8080 (don't post your IP unless it's a PUBLIC server ie. no localhost/loopback address/internal IP) Server Name: MyCraft Username: MrTeePee

Your problem Is Simple. When you Use The Default Config There Will Be These [] Instead Of Deleting Those And Putting The Effect. Put The Effect Inside Of Them. Or Since YoU Already have It Done Just Put These Symbols Around You Effect: []

So Sorry I Diudntr See The Thing Saying That They Dont Restock yet.SORRY! Is This Compatible With Aother Restocking Plugins? Because I haveOne I Would Like To Try Using. And If You need JHelp Setting Up Restocking Go get help From Craftz PlugiN Devolpers. They Have Fully Automated Restocking Of Chests. But Not A Good Spawning System And You have To Setup EachSpawnpoint Of Zombies With A Sign. So I Moved Tp This Plugin.

Any open, free-to-play server I can see/test or get a feel of this plugin at?

One of the servers linked in the website doesn't even have an ip on the site visible anywhere, and one of the other ones, Revelation Craft (or whatever) doesn't even have MineZ gamemode, they apparently removed it, they say.

It may just be may looking wrong in the wrong places, but I seriously couldn't find a IP that worked to see this, maybe add a test server?

i have a issue, when settting the food items to
MELON:
   thirst: 5
   potioneffect: speed
   potioneffectchance: 100.

it feels my hunger bar instant and no speed effect is given

same with
  ROTTEN_FLESH:
   thirst: 0
   potioneffect: blindness
   potioneffectchance: 50.0

nothing happens besides hunger

i agree with craft, better documentation,

like fore example where does it say using a hopper for research and ok , what does you know have a better understanding of the disease mean, what are the points used for.

and yes there has to be a better way of controlling the zombies in areas,,
like maybe setting that region to no mob spawning,

and the npc ,, i want the villagers just not the skeletons, how can i just remove those.

Glad to hear your interest in the plugin. The playerdata storage, should you choose to use it, requires about 492 bytes per player stored. For 20,000 players, it would require about 9MB of storage. While this is a decent amount, MyZ should still be able to handle the requests.

However, on large servers, it is recommended to use a MySQL database instead of the local file storage. This increases the speed of handling and allows saving to be asynchronous which bumps speed up even more.

Chest completion is bordering on completion. Since MineZ-chests was removed, I've had to create support myself. Simply use the /chestset /chestget and /lootset currently to create lootsets, set the lootset of a chest and get the lootset of chests as well as the /chestscan command to scan an area for chests. Currently, chests will not restock. This will be in the next release!
